CANCER CITY

To learn how cities grow, we saw aerial maps
at the university, in my environmental class.
For the professor showed a video about the earth
and how cities gain territory from their birth.
It then showed cancer tumors, photographic pages,
records of their growth, of their many stages.
Wow! Cancers and cities have identical growth.
Perfect overlaps. Same pattern follow both.
He then passed a paper by the world's top minds,
scientist who wrote their verdict and opined,
the earth is terminally ill, irreversible the crime
against her. Will demise. Not far off that time.
