The New Age Movement: Spirituality - How Tradtional Churches Have Failed To Give Sastifying Answers

The Appeal of New Age Spirituality vs. Traditional Churches:

MANT TURN TO NEW AGE BECAUSE RELIGIONS AND CHURCHES THAT HAVE DEEMED THEMSELVES 'ORTHODOX' HAVE NOT ANSWERED PEOPLE'S QUESTIONS

Admittedly, conventional religion has not relieved the general spiritual starvation. One newspaper only denounced the "failure of the church to reach out to those feeling isolated, untouched, unloved." The newspaper described modern religion as bland, "robbing the individual of any sense of a direct encounter with God."

SEXISM DISPLAYED IN TOO MANY CHURCHES THAT CLAIM TO BE 'CHRISTIAN'

For the most part, most New Age religions extend equality opprotunities to both women and men to teach without discrimination. Whereas, a we have clearly read and seen in the media, unforuantly, the majority of both Protestant, Catholic and Alternative fundamental bibical groups display clear sexism towards their women members. Many of these churches may allow women to teach but never from the pulpit and in the end men always get all the loafty titles and praise while women are taught to stay behind the curtins. Where as in most New Age movements women can and more often then even men, usually do teach and take the lead in their spiritual gatherings. However, there ARE some Christian groups thar are exposing the anti-Christ ways of sexism in the churches and restoring a bibical equality Gosepl once again. See bottom CBE Link.

FUNDAMENTAL CHRISTIANITY's PRE-MILLENNIALISM vs. NEW AGE'S POST-MILENNIALISM - THE PROBLEM WITH BOTH

The majority of Fundamental Protestants and Bibical Alternative Religious groups believe in the idea of Pre-Millennialism. Basically, this measn that they believe that God's Kingdom will solved humanity's problems. This in itself is not the problem. The problem is the way in which the majority of both the Protestant fundamentalists as well as the non-Protestants ones interperate how this will come about. The Protestant fundamentalists believe that by getting their own kind elected into man's governments they will cause God's Kingdom to come about. To them this means that Armageddon will come and The Lord will 'rapure' them while all others are "Left Behind", and then tossed into hell. So thus is why they are always trying to mix church and state. The Non-Protestant Christian Fundamentalistst such as Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in suppporting man'governements. they believe God's Kingdom will come about by God..but the problem is while they do not mix into politics to get their way, they mistakenly teach that their man-made collection of imperfect men, their "organization" already represents God's Kingdom on earth. Obviously this can not be for the world's problems still go on.

On the other side we can Post-Millennialism, which, when New Ager persons discribes it, sounds so idea and prefect. In it, the desire and thought to do good overpowers the desire and will to do harm. Everyone prays for peace and harmony untill it overshadows the evil in the world. God's Kingdom therefore comes about through humankind's goodwill towards all, and God works through human's hearts to correct the problems of the world and restore the planet. Now the problem with this, though who of us would not want those who do evil to WANT to suddenly change their ways? But can WANTS, no matter how nobel in itself simply make things come true? remeber how hard Gaundi and Martin Luthern King tried to inspire others to WANT to change? Now, I am not saying their words and actions did not have a widespread and powerful effect on the way many things. It may have, and in mnay cases has and contiues long after their deaths to inspire others to change their hearts...but for the remainders?

A problem happens when God no longer is viewed as a personal loving Fatherly and Motherly aka Perent but instead God becomes viewed as merely the good that can be created in human's hearts. God does work through people in mnay ways everyday but we, even together could NOT prebet a nucular war, though God CAN and shall. The Bible clearly states at Jeremiah 10:23: "It is not within the power of man to map his life and plan his course." That does not mean that humans never can or do change and map out their lives, plan and life course in the right path that brings one peace and well being. This does happen...but WITH God's help. Another scripture says: "Salvation belongs to Jah." - Psalm 3:8.
