I became interested in fossils when my son learned about dinosaurs in first grade. The first fossil found was the large Rugosa (horn coral), in abundance 2 miles away. My interest increased a few years later when I moved on the land where fossils turn up after each rain. My favorite fossils to find are crinoid plates. With more land being developed , the fossils are rapidly disappearing here. Many fossils have been crystallized or agatized. Finding and studying about the ancient fossils is my primary hobby.
