For those of us in the Gun community. High Noon Holsters have become well known for providing a quality product at a good price, and without a long wating period as usually found with custom leathergoods.
Nowdays, the brand has become even more popular for shooters who want excellent gear, so they
are staying quite busy down in Florida.
My last review of a holster from HIGH NOON, was last year when I obtained the UNDER ARMOR
shoulder rig. This was made out of the synthetic laminate material as utilized by them in their new
line of (In Stock) OWB belt and IWB holsters and Second Skin belts.
The "Miami Vice" styled shoulder rig is both economical and durable. A real bargain at $69.00!
A short while ago.. I requested a 2075 RAMI Slide Guard OWB holster . The resulting product arrived
after a short wait, and I soon set forth to put the holster to a two week test.
A quick note:
With over 8 years of ownership of CZF and being able to see the trends of the CZ buying public
thru the past years and different seasons.
2007 has been the most active for CZ pistols, with the P-01 and RAMI models being very popular
in the Spring and summer months, with no end in sight as it as winter approaches in most parts
of the country. Interest/sales also remain high with the new RAMI P (polymer frame ) model as well.
The good folks at High Noon offer holster for the CZ models as mentioned, with a few holsters going
out to owners of the RAMI P.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS:
The Holster arrived in a small cardboard box and clear plastic envelope marked STYLE-SLIDE GUARD, FITS- CZ 2075 RAMI.
Upon my first look at the holster I could see that it was the color of the Harvest Moons that we
have been experiencing of late. A cheerful tan orange color with orange yellow thread. A color
that matched the cowboy belt that I was wearing at the time.I normally wear a 1 3/4 inch belt
in the cooler months and the Slide Guard fit very nicely.
Looking closer, I noticed the piece of leather that rises fully up the rear of the holster. This seems
to act as both a protective panel that shields your gun from your body. I like this feature as the
safety lever or sharp slide isn't digging into my clothing.
Basically, with the tension screw adjusted to your desired level. The "Guard" doesn't slow your draw
if you need the gun fast, but does a great job of moding to the rear of your slide and hammer.
With my years of using thumbreaks, my natural draw motion is to swipe away the Guard as I
draw, and the Slide Guard holster seems to be working out just fine for me.
Like other High Noon Holsters that I've reviewed in the past.
This holster looks good and is made out of quality cowhide and strong stitching.
Also, I must mention that the hand molding is excellent with this specimen.
The usual leather "Squeek" of a new holster on a belt was persistant for the first day..
noticeable on the second, but seemed to be barely there on the third. This is quite normal
as some amount of " break in" period can be expected from most holsters.
In keeping with the tradition of great products at a reasonable cost, and a crew that works hard to expedite your order.
High Noon Holsters (www.HighNoonHolsters.com) continues to provide fantastic holsters and
customer service for those of us in the CZ community, along with other shooters that demand
good gear.
I can find no fault with this holster, but can recommend it to RAMI owners.. or HIGH NOON to others that have an interest in obtaining a quality holster for other CZ models. Or any pistol or revolver, for that matter!
After nearly 2 weeks on my side during my waking hours. My fears of the gun falling out of the
holster in the middle of Wal-Mart or otherwise, seem unfounded. The holster does everything I
need a holster to do and looks nice also. The fact that I don't have to worry about a thumbreak stretching or wearing out is also good. I'm ready to say goodbye to thumbreaks!
The RAMI Slide Guard appears to be a real winner. So, be sure that you take a look at the
updated HIGH NOON website or my H.N. reviews at the CZ-ZONE.
