Toshiya smiled as he neared the apartment he and Kyo shared. Hed been out all day window shopping and looking at the lights to pass the time until his lovers flight from Kyoto arrived. Hed found the perfect Christmas present for him. The pretty man smiled wickedly as he thought of his loves reaction to the gift hed found for him. He stepped in calling out that he was home. Toshiya stepped into the living room and looked around sadly. Hes not home yet.
He noticed that their answering machine had a message on it. Toshiya sighed and checked it. It beeped and began to play.
Hi, Totchi, its me. Toshiya started at Kyos voice. My flight got delayed and Im not going to be home until later. See you then.
Toshiya frowned, and started to walk away when the machine beeped again.
Umm, Totchi, its me again. My flight got canceled, Im trying to get on another one, but all of the flights are packed. I probably wont get in until tomorrow. Sorry.
Toshiya bit back tears. It was Christmas eve and all he wanted was to cuddle up with his boyfriend and have a romantic evening. He roughly tossed the box onto their bed and went to take a shower.
Kyo glared at an overly chipper flight attendant as he tried to get reservations for the next flight to Tokyo.
Im sorry sir, but there is no more room on that flight. She said smiling.
I understand that. Kyo said through clenched teeth. But it is very important that I get home tonight!
You and the rest of the people in this terminal, sir. she said. If we get any openings Ill be sure to tell you, now please go sit down, youre holding up the line.
He glared darkly at her, then angrily sat down in one of the uncomfortable airport chairs. About an hour later, the flight attendants announced two openings on the red-eye flight to Tokyo. Kyo rushed up to the counter and quickly made reservations. Not long after that, he had boarded the plane and was on his way home.
Toshiya sat curled on the couch in their living room. He stared wistfully at the pretty Christmas tree. It looked so happy, the rainbow of color dancing in the darkness and shining onto the ornaments. He sighed sadly, tears glittering in his eyes. He quickly wiped them away, looking out the window into the night full of lights that would rival any of the lights on their tree.
Kyo. He murmured as he buried his face in his arms, quickly drifting off to sleep.
He woke up several hours later, and after checking a clock, saw that it was after midnight.
Merry Christmas. He said quietly to the empty room. Suddenly, the phone rang. Toshiya stared at it startled. Nobody called him this late.
Hello?
Ill be home for Christmas, an all too familiar voice began to sing. You can count on me.
Kyo! Toshiya gasped happily, his dark eyes filling with tears.
Ill be home for Christmas, If only in my dreams! Kyo finished. I love you, Totchi.
Toshiya cried happily, finally managed to tell Kyo that he loved him too. The phone call was brief, but Toshiya felt like hed been given the best gift in the world. Not long after that, the pretty bassist fell asleep, dreams of his lover filling his head.
Around 5 oclock in the morning, Kyo crept quietly into their apartment, his breath catching as he saw his beautiful lover asleep on the couch. He smiled and gently ran his fingers through his boyfriends silky, dark blue hair, before leaning down and pressing his lips against Toshiyas.
Toshiya was brought out of his slumber by the feeling of something soft on his mouth. He opened his eyes and gasped as he saw Kyo. Then threw his arms around his loves neck pulling him onto the couch and kissing his passionately. Kyo made a muffled sound of shock, but then responded just as ardently, running his hands along the curves of his lovers effeminate body. When their kiss broke, Toshiya hugged Kyo, telling him over and over again how much he loved him punctuated by more kisses. Kyo laughed and held his lover, realizing again how much he had missed everything about Toshiya.
Ne, Merry Christmas, Totchi. Kyo said softly, and Toshiya pulled away.
Oh, yeah! He cried, then stood up and ran towards their bedroom, slamming the door. A few seconds later he poked his head back out, and an impish smile graced his features. Dont go anywhere, okay?
At Kyos confused nod, Toshiya shut the door again. Kyo blinked. What the hell was that about?
He was almost asleep as he heard the door opening again, and spun around, only to freeze as he saw his boyfriend. He stood leaning against the doorframe, smiling seductively. His slender figure was encased in a long, sheer, blue night gown that had a slit running up the side all the way to his hips.
Uuh... Was all Kyo could manage. Toshiyas smile widened. This was a better than the reaction hed hoped for. Kyo was practically drooling.
Merry Christmas, lover. Toshiya said in a low, sexy voice.
That seemed to bring Kyo out of his stupor. He looked Toshiya up and down, grinning and walking over to him.
This is my Christmas present?
Toshiya bit his lip nervously. You dont like it?
No.
Toshiya looked hurt, then gasped as Kyo grabbed him and kissed him deeply.
I love it.
Toshiya laughed and pulled Kyo into their bedroom so he could open his Christmas present.
