Tracheobronchitis, Para influenza, Kennel Cough
This disease has many names, but is only one disease. You
can tell if your dog has it if he/she's having a dry, hacking cough. Most
kennels require your dog to have the D.H.L.P.P. vaccination (vaccination that
blocks Kennel Cough), because that is where it is spreads the most. It travels
by air, so if there are a large group of dogs in one place, it will spread.
Though usually one dog out of every ten dog gets it from a kennel.
Once you realize your dog has Kennel Cough, make sure to
shelter him/her, so no secondary virus invades your dog's body, for that could
lead to Chronic Bronchitis. But if this virus is
alone, than it will easily clear itself up if you feed your dog cough
suppressants or cough syrup.
