Rush

her breath comes,
in little gasps,
eyes closed.
she lays her head back,
and gives in,
to the waves.
she loses control,
and her muscles go weak,
her flesh tingles,
and her head is dizzy.
a cold draft washes over,
all heat gone.
she curls into a ball.
and as he strokes her hair,
she falls asleep.
