1/27/03 - Only recently have I played the original Unreal Tournament and I've just begun the first Unreal, so they were both fresh on my mind when I downloaded the Unreal Tournament 2003 demo. Unreal Tournament is held as one of the best First Person Shooters ever made. I never had the chance to truly enjoy it online (Damn 56k) but fraggin' bots offline was always a blast. I had no problem seeing why this is one of the best FPS's ever. Having said that, I didn't expect too much more from UT 2003. I wasn't too far off, from the looks of things, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's the fast paced action we know and love, with a major graphical overhaul. With my current card it doesn't look great, but there's definite potential. I can't wait to play her on a Radeon 9700. Aside from the graphic overhaul, there are a few minor, but significant, gameplay tweaks that I can't wait to dive into in the retail version. The wall jump ability is the most intriguing aspect. The two levels on the demo are both beautiful and well laid-out. Perfect for some multiplayer mayhem. I'm looking forward to the full version. - Laez
