Episode 27 (cont.)

(Zorro suspects that the stolen gunpowder will be brought into Los Angeles in a cart. He and Bernardo hide among the rocks watching for anything suspicious.)

(Garcia is Acting Commandente again. Two bad guys say they have bought the Tavern. The gunpowder is hidden in a hay cart. Zorro finds it but Garcia is told it is wine.)

"The Eagle's Brood" contained one of my all time favorite Zorro scenes - The Barrels!

The Zorro scene has almost no dialogue and during the rushing around trying to keep sliding barrels from crashing you can see Guy laughing,looking up at whoever is rolling those barrels down at him, almost tripping, and really working up a sweat.

It also seems as though Gene Sheldon is laughing with Guy as he reaches through the window for yet another barrel.

By the time the next to the last barrel has descended, Guy appears to laughing so hard he keeps his face hidden from the camera. There is an obvious cut to the scene at this point, although the rest of it appears to be continuous without break. The next barrel down the chute is the last. And that one appears to be VERY heavy. As I've said, this is one of my all time favorite scenes!
