(Zorro has arrived in time to save Bernardo, and in the ensuing battle the tanner is killed when he accidently backs into a hole punch that was sticking out of a post.)

(Back in the secret room, Zorro and Bernardo are confused over what happened to the jewels that Bernardo claimed he saw in the tannery.)
