(Sergeant Garcia is giving a party for Senorita Bastinado. Diego needs to get away so he can ride to the tannery and see what the Brothers Murietta are up to. Sergeant Garcia will not let him leave, so he tells Bernardo to ride to the tannery as Zorro.)

(Diego could not get away from the party so Bernardo had to dress as Zorro to go search the tannery for the missing jewels.)

(Zorro has just interrupted the Murietta brothers as they try to make Bernardo (dressed as Zorro) tell them where he hid the jewels. "We Zorros must stick together.")
