(Diego and Bernardo are listening from the secret passage to the plans of the Eagle.)

(Zorro has found out that the Eagle has found the list of names of the Dons that have signed an oath to defend California. He comes out of the secret passage to sneak up on the Eagle and hopefully retrieve the list before they can read it.)

(Zorro has surprised the Eagle and his aide just as they are about to read the list of men.)
