Alejandro holding Diego "prisoner"... Such a poignant moment for Diego and such powerful acting by Guy: Diego: How . . . how did you know? Don A: I've known for a long time. A very long time. Diego: You gave no indication. Don A: I thought if the time ever came that you wanted me to know, you would tell me.

"Amnesty" when Alejandro keeps Diego from accepting the governor's offer of amnesty in Monterey. When he asks his father if he, Diego, isn't to be allowed to have a life of his own, and his father tells him, in essence, "No", Diego cries! I haven't seen that episode in more years than many of you have been alive, but I can still see Guy Williams' expression - his head bowed and tilted to the side, hair mussed and falling into his eyes. He looks up at Alejandro and the tears are brimming, about to fall. Remembering it still makes ME cry!
