"He is a rather arrogant jackass, isn't he," said Diego. To which Alejandro replied, "My son, you insult the jackass."...Sue K., who absolutely loves that line. From: "venilsurya" Why does Alejandro de la Vega say "My son, you're an insult to the jackass" in episode 67? I just came across this on the Faves site. Doesn't this episode come after Alejandro knows Diego's secret? Venil ------ "Carolynn" wrote: Venil, He doesn't say that. What IS said is: Diego: "He is an arrogant jackass, isn't he?" (referring to Basillio) Alejandro: "You insult the jackass." Okay? It's easy to misinterpret sometimes. But this is a conversation I especially like. Good humor and at a time in my life when saying 'jackass' wasn't swearing. In other words, way before I was old enough to refer to someone as a jackass, and then it ended up BEING crass and swearing! I missed the boat there. Carolynn |
