Five Favorite Episodes of the First Season
I am curious:
If you had to pick your five favorite shows of the first season, what
would they be?
My choices?
Presenting Seņor Zorro
Death Stacks the Deck
The Ghost of the Mission
A Fair Trial
Secret of the Sierras
hmm, then there are the Toledano episodes, and the last Monestario
episodes....... sigh. There were a great many good ones. Maybe
it would have been better to decide the five I like the least!

I don't think I could narrow it down to just five, I love them all, but I will tell you two top contenders. First, "Monastario Sets a Trap", because it is the first episode I ever saw and the one that got me hooked (besides being a really good story). And the other is "The Man With the Whip", simply for the quick scene with Zorro sitting in the window waiting for Murietta. That pose has a drool factor of about 50 for me

Here are mine, but tomorrow I may have another 5.
"Presenting Senor Zorro" and "Secret of the Sierrra"
and a few others I didn't put down because I thought
they would be on someone else's list.
"Double Trouble for Zorro" (Monastario, Bernardo's
tour de force, and Diego's tour de force of a quick
change---twice! And the cape we barely get to see...)*
"Zorro's Ride Into Terror" (rides into comedy even
when the theme is quite serious and never loses
integrity; plus Diego in his dressing gown, and I
love
that song)
"The Fox and the Coyote" (for the horserace and a
fleeting glimpse of Diego as Zorro
without the costume
or mask)
"Adios, Senor Magistrado" (Toledano, Zorro, Don
Alejandro)

The Man with
the Whip--not only for the appearance and duels of Zorro,
but I
enjoy watching Diego teaching Rudolfo how to fence.
In "Shadow of
Doubt" my favorites include the "saving Maria" scenes.
They are
exciting and breathtaking.
As Diego tells a story in "The Ghost of
the Mission",
I am completely engrossed in his story
In "The Fall
of Monastario", Diego has me rolling
with laughter at his verbal
exchange with the Monastario.
And last but not least, "Zorro fights
his Father" has one of the best dramatic scenes
Guy gets to play in
the Zorro shows, imho
