John's Story: Hello, my name is John Barry and yes, that stick-figure you are looking at in the photo is me. I was born in Edina, MN back in Aug of 1974. My parents did a great job of raising me before they turned me loose to seek my fortune back in 1992. I departed the howling tundra of Minnesota for the howling tundra of Wisconsin in order to attend Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. I earned my BA degrees in both Political Science and Communications there in Milwaukee, and lived to tell the tale. Graduation from Marquette in 1996 also brought about my commissioning into the United States Marine Corps. I was lucky enough to marry the beautiful Rebecca Gifford about a year later, and she accompanied me out to California where the USMC ordered me to go. Since then I have earned the title Air Support Control Officer, and have spent the majority of my career on the West Coast.
