Lies

I’ve lived a life full of lies.
Nothing you ever said was true.
Why did you make it all up?
We would’ve been so good together.

Tell me why you did that.
Why you wanted to hurt me so.
I’ve never done anything to you,
But to love you unconditionally.
Was that such a crime?
Such a crime that you had to make up lies?

Why did you pretend that you cared?
Why couldn’t you just have told me the truth?
Did you really wanted to shatter me up so bad?
You could’ve done that before I fell in love with you.

I guess since our love couldn’t last,
Maybe our friendship can.
But are you sure that’s also not based on lies?
Everything was so perfect before you can along.
Maybe it would be better if we never met.
Never once had to deal with all those lies.
