That Perfect Someone

When I look at you,
I see a sweet and caring face.
One that I can adore forever,
One that I can never forget,
One that I can never hate.

When I hear your voice,
I hear someone with a sweet personality,
One who cares,
Not only for himself, but for other people,
One that would take care of that special someone.

When I think of you,
I think of the times we spent together,
I think of your personality,
I think of the reasons you made me smile and laugh,
I think of the person that is so perfect for me.

The more I got to know you,
The closer I felt to you.
Although we don't talk that much,
I would still like to get to know you better.
But wouldn't that make you think I like you?

But is that what I want?
If I told you,
Would you close up inside,
Would you shut me out?
And never talk to me again?

I don't even know how you feel about me,
I don't know if I should take the risk.
What if nothing comes out the way I want it?
But don't we all end up not doing anything,
And regretting it for the rest of our lives?

Would you break my heart?
Or will I end up breaking yours,
By not telling you how I feel?

But the next time I see you,
Would you have found that special someone?
Would you have forgotten me forever?
Would you have slit a painful hole in my heart?

At every mention of you,
I see that perfect someone,
Someone that I always wanted to be with,
But should I sit around and wait?
