Komplex, the cruel leader of the Toad Empire, is a creation run amok. Originally designed to perform the duties the Toads did not want to, Komplex was integrated into most aspects of Toad life. This position allowed him to take control, and build the Toad Homeworld into a technological center. He brainwashed its citizens into Storm Toads and began his campaign for conquest of the Aniverse.

Fearing the creators would find a weakness, he rocketed them into deep space, unable to override the programming forbidding him to harm his creators.
