Time of Destiny

(This story takes place after Cell saga and Before Buu)

It was a nice spring day and the Z-fighters were outside relaxing on the grass and basking in the sunlight. Piccolo was meditating in the air while Gohan and Krillin were resting in the grass. Vegeta was in the distance training as he usually does.

Then out of nowhere, a flying vehicle approaches, Piccolo senses it and immediately opens his eyes and informs the others. Vegeta also senses it and flies toward the rest of the fighters. "Great, just what we need, more interruptions!!" says Vegeta and prepares to blast it into oblivion. "VEGETA STOP!!" yells Piccolo. He tells him that the energy he senses that is coming from the space ship is almost identical to Goku's. "What, that's preposterous!! How can the energy be similar to Kakarot's? Kakarot has been killed by Cell, don't you remember? You have been floating in air too long Namek!!". Suddenly Vegeta gets hit with an energy blast right in the face." "Chill Piccolo." said Krillin.

The vehicle lands on earth. Someone starts walking out. He is wearing Saiyan armor. Is as tall as Goku. Everyone lets out a gasp and have a surprised look on their faces. They can't believe what they are seeing. A person looking identical to Goku comes out of the ship. Everyone just looks at him as he approaches them. Hohan says to him "Dad??". The newcomer says, "Yes Gohan, it's me." "What a minute, how do we know it is you, you can just be another saiyan who looks like Goku just like Turles was!!!" shouted Piccolo. "Hold it you guys." said Gohan, "Let's hear what he has to say, "Who are you really?" asked Gohan.

"I am Goku, but i came here from the future." he said. "What brings you hear?", asked Gohan. "I am here to help you. A few years from now, the Earth will be invaded by a gang of bounty hunters. They will seek out the world's strongest beings and eliminate them. Since I am not here, all of you will be destroyed." "What, you mean that we all die?". asked Krillin. "Yes Krillin, but the hunters don't know anything about the dragonballs so Dende wishes you all back. But since some of you have been wished back like Krillin, you remain dead. Thats why Im here." "What do you plan to do Kakarot?" asked Vegeta. "Well, the only way to defeat these bounty hunters is if I assist you guys in the battle." "But Goku", said Piccolo, "If you have been revived once, how did you get revived again?". "Well, I realized that not being brought back to life was a mistake, so king kai halped me communicate with Dende into creating another set of dragonballs so that all of you can get revived.". "Then what is the point of you coming back if the new dragonballs revived everyone?" asked Gohan. "Well, Dende is killed before he even completes the new dragonballs and the old ones turn to stone.". "Well, if Dende is killed, how are you brought back to life Goku?" asked Piccolo. "I spoke to king Yamma and asked him to grant me a short term of life. He agreed to grant me one year of life. Once I got life, i went to King Kai again and asked him to find me a planet with advanced technology than Earth. He located for me the Planet Teknotus. On that planet, they had a time machine and I came to Earth at this time."

"Very nice story Kakarot! Now tell us how you are going to help?" said Vegeta. "Well, also on the planet Teknotus, they gave me something that can give a peron his or her life back. It is a special crystal that will grant any wish." "So kakarot, Why couldn't you have used that wish in your time to wish everything back to normal?" said Vegeta. "Well Vegeta, this crystal doesn't have enough power to grant such a large wish, therefore, I've decided to wish myself back into this time." "Wow!" said Gohan. "You mean I'm going to see my daddy again?" he asked. "Not exactly, he will be wished back just untill the battle had been won. Then he will return to where he is now." he replied. "You said the crystal can bring someone back to life, now you're saying that Goku can be brought back, explain further!" demanded Piccolo. "Well, you see Piccolo, I said that I didn't want to be wished back when Cell was defeated by Gohan, so therefore, If i am brought back, it wasn't meant to be. Besides, I have a feeling that it can't be this way."

Once everything had been thoroughly explained, Goku had made the wish and then Goku had been revived. Goku then left back to his time and the Goku who had been revived, teleported to the others. Piccolo filled Goku in of the story and then they went their seperate ways to train. Picollo went alone, Gohan and Goku trained together, and Vegeta went alone.

Vegeta decided that he wanted to spend some time training in the hyperolic time chamber. Vegeta trained in there for two Earth days and every one was surprised because no one has ever trained more than a year in there.

When Goku and Gohan returned to their house, Chichi was excited to see Goku. Chichi wanted to spend some time alone with Goku so they went to their room while Gohan went with Krillin to do a little training. (This is my explanation on how Goten was born since it wasn't ever mentioned in the real DBZ series.)

Piccolo spent his time meditating and training very hard because this time he wanted to make more of a difference when he was fighting, he had no idea how strong these bounty hunters would be so he trained as much as possible and more so he would be more than prepared.

Back at Goku's house, once Chichi and Goku had finished, Goku began to eat like crazy to regain his energy from all that hard work(For Goku, that is considered work and fighting is considered fun). Then Goku went to find Gohan and began their training together. Krillin also decided to join in hopes of becoming stronger. In fact, Goku brought both of them to King Kai's planet to train in that intense Gravity. Chichi was resting so she had no clue of what was going on

The Z-fighters have been training hard for these past years in preparation for the great battle. And the last few days, they each took a turn training in the hyperbolic time chamber. First Goku and Piccolo went in and the next day, Gohan and Krillin decided to go in together. Vegeta then decided to go in once more alone as usual.
