The saiyans arrive on Earth. Goku is still on his way to Earth on snake way. The saiyans, Nappa and Vegeta, locate Krillin, Picollo and Gohan and proceed to go to where they are. Vegeta (center) recognize Picollo as being a Namek who will tell them where the dragonballs are. The battle now begins. Nappa plants 4 seeds into the ground. Each of the seeds begin to sprout into saibamen (left). At this time, Tien, Chaotsu, and Yamucha arrive to help.

The fighters each choose a saibaman to fight. The saibamen prove slightly difficult to defeat and really give the fighters a bit of a battle. One of the saibaman jumps onto Yamucha's back and self destructs killing himself and Yamucha. Then Krillin powers up an energy balls that splits up into 4 different blasts. It makes direct contact and kills the saibaman. One Saibaman survives only to be destroyed by Vegeta. Now it is time for the real battle to commence. First up, Nappa (right).

Nappa picks Tien as the first one to fight him. Chaotsu launches an attack and attaches himself to Nappa. He attempts to self destruct taking him and Nappa into the other dimension. Tien, Krillin, and Picollo use all of their power against Nappa, who appears to be invincible to them. The fighters keep wondering when Goku will arrive. Vegeta hears them and orders a 3 hour break to wait for Goku. 3 hours go by without Goku showing up and the battle continues. Nappa defeats krillin and tries to kill Gohan but Picollo saves him by sacrificing himself. Goku then arrives on earth.

When Goku comes to earth, he gives senzu beans to Krillin and Gohan. Once they are restored Goku defeats Nappa with no problem. Nappa is beaten severely and crawls to Vegeta for help. Vegeta kills Nappa cause he was defeated so easily. The battle between Goku and Vegeta is about to begin.

Vegeta and Goku start battling eachother. They are even at first, but when Vegeta gets serious, Goku employs his Kaio-ken attack. When Vegeta gains the upperhand, Goku realizes that he needs to use his triple kaio-ken attack which king Kai told him not to use. Vegeta sees that Goku is far stronger than he expected. He uses his Saiyan ability to transform into an oozaru. He creates artificial moonlight and transforms. In this form, he badly beats Goku. Krillin attempts to cut off Vegeta's tail with his Kienzan, but Vegeta dodges it. At the last moment, Yajirobi cuts off Vegeta's tail with his sword. The badly beaten Goku notices that Gohan grew his tail back and tells him to stare at the moonlight. Gohan transforms into oozaru. Vegeta does away with the moonlight, causes Gohan to fall ontop of him. Vegeta is badly beaten and Gohan goes back to normal.

krillin takes Yajirobi's sword and goes over to Vegeta, who is crawling to his space pod. Goku tells Krillin to let Vegeta go because he cannot possibly harm them anymore. Vegeta then leaves earth. He proceeds to his army base to rejuvinate himself. This marks the end of the Vegeta Saga.
