SAGARA SANOSKE

Sanosuke is an ex-gangster and Kenshin's best friend. They met when Hiruma Gohi, the guy who pretended to be the Batthow Sai in the first episode, hired him to take out Kenshin. He did this because he wanted revenge. Sanosuke, known as Sanza at that time, was happy to fight Kenshin for two reasons. The first was that he had met Kenshin before and had sensed that he was a good fighter. The second was that Kenshin was part of the group "Ishin Shishi' during Japans civil war and he had a grudge against them because his group, was betrayed by them. They eventually settle things after Sanza gets a good beating from Kenshin and they become friends, Sanosuke ditching his gangster name 'Sanza' and telling Kenshin not to go wandering around without him.

HEIGHT: 172

WEIGHT: 71 kg

APPEARRENCE: Spiky dark brown hair, Dark brown eyes. Always wears a shirt with the word "bad" on the back

OCCUPATION: former Sek-ho-tai group member

CHARACTER:
A constant visitor at Kaoru's dojo, a freeloader, gambler, always borrows money, never pays back, likes to annoy Kaoru, an excellent street fighter, eats at the Akabeko restaurant and because he never pays; has a tab the size of Mt. Everest. One of his favorite hobbies is complaining about Kaoru's cooking and then dodging numerous flying objects that are thrown at him. He also loves to call Yahiko 'chan', which earns him a lot of bites on the head from Yahiko.

COMMENTS:

Sano is really a nice guy-sometimes ^_^' Its like Kenshin says, he is the type of person whose good qualities are hard to describe. He is funny, very loyal towards his friends, funny, he can be understanding (he can also be dumb) did I mention funny? He has a special relationship towards Kaoru, always calling her Jo-chan(little missy)-I have never heard him call her by her name-and he sometimes acts like a big brother to her. He is always there for his new family the same way that they are always there for him. Plus, he can always lighten up the atmosphere in too-tense situations.
