It was a Sunday morning, two days after the sleep over at River Williams
house. When Yamato Ishida and Taichi Kamiya had announced their love for
each other. After Yamato’s brother, Takeru Takaishi, and his friend, Daisuke
Motomyia, had fallen unceremoniously into River’s room where the two new
lovers had been making out. The boys had all curled up in front of the tv to
watch a movie. Yamato and Taichi laid on the couch arms wrapped around each
other. They fell asleep like that.
When Taichi woke up the next morning, the first thing he heard was the
steady beat of Yamato’s heart. He snuggled closer to his love and looked at
the others. Takeru and Daisuke were laying side by side on the floor in
front of him. Takeru lay on his back, his blonde hair messed up from sleep.
Daisuke was sleeping on his stomach, his arms tightly clutching his pillow.
Taichi’s chocolate brown eyes shifted across the room to where River sat on
the Lazyboy (TM), shirtless. It was the first time he’d ever seen River
shirtless. On the left side of Riv’s chest was a tattoo of a wolf head. His
head was down so his red hair fell over his face covering his eyes. He just
sat there staring a picture in his hands, a sad look on his face. Completely
unaware of the fact that he was being watch. Who was in that picture? And
why did it make the red head so sad to look at it?
Saturday evening Taichi and Yamato went on their first date. They saw a
movie and spend the rest of the night taking a walk through the park.
Walking hand in hand, under the stars.
Now Taichi sat on the couch in his livingroom waiting for his sister Hikari
to finish making herself “beautiful” for her boyfriend. She had spent most
of yesterday begging to let Kaspian come to the picnic. Taichi finally caved
a half hour before his date, afraid that his sister would follow. The good
thing about Kas going was that River would go too. The two brothers were
shocking unalike. Even in looks. River had red hair, dark blue eyes, and a
cute little smirk. While Kas had dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes, and a
Cheshire Cat grin. River thought of other’s feelings, was observant, and
quite most of the time. Kaspian was loud, obnoxious, and could be very stuck
up and snotty, the only person Kas seem to care about other then himself was
Hikari. Which Taichi had to admit was good, he didn’t want Hikari hurt.
“Ok! I’m ready,” Hikari called as she finally stepped out of the bathroom.
“It’s about time,” Taichi grumbled. Het primping was going into his
“Yama-time”

When Taichi and Hikari arrived at the park, only three of their friends were
there. Sora looked up and waved happily at the two. Noticing her waving Mimi
and Jyou looked to where she was waving. They grinned when they saw Taichi
and Hikari jogging over. Mimi’s pink hair bounced and glittered in the
sunshine. Taichi still couldn’t believe that she kept dying it pink, but
then again this is Mimi.
“Hey guys,” Taichi said when he got to the picnic table they were sitting
at.
“Hey Taichi and Hikari,” they all replied.
“Noone else is here, yet?” Hikari asked, looking around. Only wanting to see
her boyfriend. Taichi felt the same way.
“No, but they should be here soon,” Sora told her. “Taichi could I talk to
you alone?”
“Umm...sure,” he said, as they started to walk away from their friends.
“What is it?”
“I had a lot of fun on our date, Thursday. I know you sort of freaked out
after we...” She blushed. “...kissed, but I’d really like to go out again. I
know it’ll be a lot better this time.”
“Well Sora, you see...the thing is...I’m sort going...”
“YAMATO!!” Mimi shouted as the blonde trotted over to the group. Takeru and
Iori followed close behind.
“Where’s Taichi?” Yamato asked Hikari, after hugging both her and Mimi. If
she’s here then Taichi must be too
“Right here,” his love said from behind him.
Yamato turned around. His eyes lit up and he grinned. “Hi.”
“Hi, yourself.”
Iori, noticing the looks the two older boys were giving each other, gave
Takeru a questioning look. Iori had grown up a lot in the past three years.
He no longer had the “Village of the Damned” look to himself. His short
brown hair was spiked up with the tips dyed blue. Kaspian had helped (made)
him do it and he had to admit that he did like it.
Knowing his brother didn’t want anyone to know until everyone was there.
Takeru leaned down and whispered, “You’ll find out soon enough.”
“Oh, ok.”
“Hi Yamato.”
“Sora.”
“So guys how was your sleep over at River’s?
“It was fun,” Taichi answered her.
“Oh! What did you do?”
“We played ‘Truth or Dare,’” Takeru answered this time, a big grin on his
face. “Daisuke had to go to this guys place and...”
“MIMI!” a girls voice called.
“Miyako!” she called back. The two friends hugged each other tightly.
Koushiro, who had met up with Miyako on his way to the park, rolled his eyes
and walked over to his friends.
“Hey guys.”
“Hey.”
“One more and were all here.”
“Three more,” Takeru said.
“Two more,” Hikari said, at the same time.
“Umm...no guys. Daisuke’s the only one not here yet,” Sora said.
“And Kaspian.”
“Kaspian’s not a digidestined,” Mimi pointed out.
“Taichi said he could come.”
Everyone looked at him.
“She wouldn’t stop bugging me about it!”
“River’s coming too right?” Takeru asked.
“Yeah. If Kas is coming it’s only fair if River is allowed too.”
“River Williams is going to be at our picnic!?” Mimi shrieked.
“Mimi! Don’t yell like that. Your going to make us all go deaf,” Jyou said.
“You don’t understand! This is ‘River Williams’!”
“So?” Koushiro said. “What’s scream worthy of him?”
“He’s one of the hottest guys around! Everyone want’s go date him. He’s such
a fox!”
“Breath Mimi, breath,” Miyako said. Patting her friends back.
“Wow! I don’t think I’ve seen that much pink on one person before,” a voice
said from behind them.
“You get used to it after a while,” another voice said.
The group turned around. Behind them stood River and Daisuke. Kaspian stood
a few feet behind. He had walked behind them on the way there as well,
because he was afraid that Daisuke might take a swing at him.
“So are you going to introduce me to your friends or are we just going to
stand here staring at each other?”
“Oh yeah! Sorry!” Taichi said. “This is Mimi, Miyako, Sora, Jyou, Koushiro,
Iori, and you know everyone else. Guys this is River.”
“Well I like this!” River grinned. He walked toward Koushiro. “This guy
looks like he could be my little brother more then blondie can.”
“Hey!” Kas said. After pulling his lips away from his girlfriend.
Riv smirked at his brother.
“So, guys, are we going to eat, so something or what?”
“I think we should get everything out on the blanket. There’s no way we’ll
all fit at the picnic table.” Sora said.

River was sitting on the blanket across from Taichi and Yamato. They were
going nuts not being able to touch each other. Taichi glanced at his sister.
She was laying on her back, Kaspian was laying on his side next to her.
Feeding her and giving her soft kisses. Taichi’s eyes filled with envy and
he frowned. He looked at Yamato. The blonde glanced back at him. Taichi
raised one of his eyebrows. Yamato immediately got the hint. So did River.
Taichi stood up, “I’ll be back in a second.”
“Where are you going Taichi?” Sora asked.
“Bathroom.”
“I need to go too,” Yamato said casually as he stood up.
Daisuke opened his mouth, but was stopped by River’s hand. He looked at the
older boy. River shook his head and then looked at the two boys leaving the
blanket.
“Oh,” Daisuke whispered softly.
The two boys stepped into the bathroom, they glanced around making sure it
was empty. They checked all the stalls. When they were sure noone else was
there Yamato grabbed Taichi and pulled him into the end stall. He wrapped
his arms around the other boys waist and pulled him against himself.
“I missed you, Kitten.”
“You saw me last night.”
“That seems like ages ago.”
Yamato leaned down and touched his lips gently against Taichi’s. His brought
his hand up behind the other boys neck, stroking his cheek with his thumb.
“I love you,” Yamato whispered, giving Taichi soft kisses.
Taichi wrapped his arms around the taller boy. He sighed opening his lips.
Yamato kissed him deeply. His tongue stroking the other boy’s. Taichi
wrapped his arms tighter around his love. The blonde slipped his hand under
Taichi’s shirt. Running his fingers lightly up his flat stomach, then around
to his back, and started to massage his lower back.
Yamato ground loudly when Taichi made that cute little mew in the back of
his throat.

River watched Koushiro curiously, as he stared at Jyou.
“Hey Little Red,” River said to the smaller boy.
“Yes? Please don’t call me that.”
“If there’s anything you ever need to talk to me about, just go ahead.”
Koushiro raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”
River glanced at Jyou then back at Koushiro. “I’m not blind.”
“His large black eyes went wide with fear. “You know...that I...”
“Little Red, it’s ok!” River wrapped his arm around the smaller boy’s
shoulders and gave his arm a reassuring squeeze. “I won’t tell anyone.”
The smaller boy turned to look at him, “Thank you....Big Red.”
River grinned. Then looked at the rest of the group. When his gaze stopped
on Jyou he noticed that the other boy was staring curiously at himself and
Koushiro. There was a pained expression in his eyes. He quickly turned away
and talked to Mimi.
“They’ve been gone a long time,” Sora’s voice broke into River’s mind.
“Maybe they got lost,” Mimi said.
“In the park?” Hikari said skeptically.
“I’m going to see what’s taking them so long,” Sora said, standing up and
walking away.
“Sora!...” River called, but he was too late. “Oh, shit!”
“She’s not going to be happy when she finds out,” Iori commented.
“What do you mean? Find out what?” Miyako asked.
“Guess the cats out of the bag,” River muttered.
“Are you going to tell them?” Daisuke asked.
“Well I think they’d rather have us tell the other’s then a hysterical
Sora.”
“What’s going on, Riv?” Kaspian asked, for the first time being interested
in something other then himself or Hikari.
“Taichi and Yamato are seeing each other,” he told his brother and the
others.
“Oh!” Koushiro said from beside him. “So they went off to...”
“Make out? Yeah.”
“They can hardly keep their hands off each other,” Takeru added.
“Aww!” Mimi said. “That’s so sweet! I knew they were going to get together
eventually.”
Everyone looked at the pink haired girl.
“You knew?” Jyou gasped.
“Yes, didn’t you?”
“No.”
“You’re all taking this a lot better then T and D did, when they found out.”
“How did they take it?” Miyako asked.
“They went into shock,” he chuckled.
