Episode 1 The Birth of the Legendary
Magic Knights!
Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji were ordinary middle
school girls in Tokyo—until they were summoned to Cephiro, a fantasy
world where one's will ruled over all. They are told that unless they
become "Magic Knights", defeat the evil priest, and rescue the princess,
they can't go back to Tokyo! Guided by the wise old Clef, the three
embark on their long journey.
Episode 2 Presea of the Woods of
Silence
The three girls managed to make it to Presea's house in the Forest
of Silence, as instructed by Clef. However, the door was unlocked and
nobody was home! The girls hear a noise in the study, and head that way
to find a fluffy animal! They eventually meet Presea, but then, a
monster manages to enter the estate—and the girls must fight without
Hikaru's magic...
Episode 3 Ferio the Handsome,
Mysterious Swordsman
While on their way to the spring of Eterna by Presea's orders, the
three girls encounter a mysterious man with a large sword. This man,
Ferio, tries to strike a deal with them to help each other out of the
forest. The group of four soon find a large rock in the center of the
forest, and determine it to be the cause of the forest's numerous
monsters... but can they destroy it?
Episode 4 Alcyone, the Vengeful
Sorceress
The three girls parted with Ferio and went on their way to Eterna.
They found a town, but all the townsfolk feared the girls from another
world—even after they defended the town from a monster. Just then,
Alcyone commenced her attack to initiate a grudge match, and Hikaru's
magic alone is not enough...
Episode 5 Escudo, the Legendary
Ore
Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu arrive at a beautiful pond. Investigation
proves that this was not their destination. Of course, the three did not
expect that their destination, Eterna, would look the way it did... or
that they would be tested for worthiness by not one, but two different
entities....
Episode 6 Lives at Stake—Presea's
Weapons
A new opponent, Ascot, targets Presea as the three girls head back
to the Forest of Silence with Escudo. The three try to fend off the
beast that Ascot summoned, but magic nor weapons were effective against
it! With doom looming over Presea, who was busy making their weapons,
what could the girls do?
Episode 7 Ferio in Desperation—A
Romance in the Desert
Ferio bumps into Ascot as the little summoner plans revenge. Ferio,
on his own agenda, decides to moentarily tag-team with Ascot. The girls
are fooled by Ferio to walk into Ascot's trap—but get saved by Ferio.
But as a price for saving the girls, Ascot decides to kill Ferio... can
the girls save him?
Episode 8 The Horrible Trap of
Summoner Ascot
Hikaru finds a little creature being assaulted by a monster, and
saves it with a little help from her friends. Hikaru gets emotionally
attached to the little critter, but this proves painful as the critter
suddenly enlarges and becomes violent the next day...
Episode 9 The Magic Knights' Greatest
Crisis
Umi lands in Tokyo from wishing so hard to be back there for her
fencing tournament. Meanwhile, Alcyone, locked up in a cell for all her
failures, cons little Ascot into breaking her free in exchange for a
potion that will "strengthen his beast". The beast was indeed
strengthened—but not in the way Ascot wished—and swallows Hikaru and Fuu
in a labyrinth of ice. Will Umi be able to return to Cephiro and save
her fellow Magic Knights?
Episode 10 The Revival of Selece,
the Legendary Mashin
Mokona produces a small vessel to cross the ocean—imagine the Magic
Knights' surprise when it started to plummet and dove into the ocean!
The vessel, now covered in an air bubble, finds its way into an
underwater shrine. There, Selece, the Mashin, awaited Umi. But, Ascot
and his beast Capella also awaited the entourage. Will Umi be able to
fend off the latest beast's attacks, and show Selece that she has what
it takes to become a Magic Knight?
Episode 11 The Legend of the
Mashin—In Cephiro, Another World
The vessel leaves the sea shrine to fly towards the next
destination. However, it gets shot down by Zagato—and the girls narrowly
escape thanks to Emeraude's help. The girls come to to find Ferio at
their side, eager to help. He tells them that there are three (not one)
Mashin... when the town they were lodging in decides to sum up all their
folks to kill the Magic Knights, instructed to do so by one of Zagato's
minions. Will they be able to escape from the town without hurting
anyone?
Episode 12 The Fearsome Illusionist
Caldina
The girls are shocked to find that the next destination for them is
in fact that boulder floating in the sky! Now, they realize that they
must find a way of their own to that shrine... but as they climb one of
the mountains between them and the boulder, a strange scent surrounds
them. The girls suddenly start to see all sorts of strange illusions!
Will they be able to see the truth and break free from the illusions?
Episode 13 The Most Valuable Thing
in This World
Back on track after their second encounter with Caldina, the girls
once again head towards the shrine in the sky. But Caldina has one up on
them—she cleverly creates a diversion to separate Fuu from the others,
and gains control of Umi and Hikaru! When Fuu rejoins her party, the
other two start to attack her... will she find a way to break Caldina's
control over the others before the Magic Knights end up slaying each
other?
Episode 14 Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu's
Unyielding Wish
The girls decide to organize their thoughts and think about what
they have done and what they need (and/or want) to do, with the aid of a
map by Mokona. The next day, a strange flash of light engulfs and whisks
Umi and Fuu away! Now Hikaru must find them on her own—and after Mokona
also gets whisked away by the light, she can only trust her wits. Will
she be able to find a way through the light to rescue her dear friends?
Episode 15 The Second Mashin:
Windam, the Lord of the Skies
On a rainy day, Ferio bumps into the Magic Knights with a girl— this
girl, Sara, got lost in the mountains and needed help. The girls felt
that she was safe enough to leave with Ferio as they entered the sky
shrine; but Sara turned out to be all but Inouva in disguise! Inouva
reveals himself to the Magic Knights as he holds Ferio hostage—will Fuu
be able to rescue Ferio and also show Windam, the second Mashin, that
she is worthy of becoming a Magic Knight?
Episode 16 A Powerful Foe! Lafarga
the Swordmaster
The girls once again continue on their quest—this time for the third
and last Mashin. Their path is once again filled with monsters—and this
time, a huge flying creature whisks Umi away! The girls chase the
monster in hopes of freeing her, when a tall swordsman defeats the
monster in one slash! However, this swordsman turns out to be none other
than Lafarga, the newest henchman sent by Zagato to kill the Magic
Knights! Will Hikaru, who decided to fight this swordsman without her
magic, be able to defeat him and convince him out of his evil ways?
Episode 17 The Truth about Inouva,
and Return of Memories
One Mashin left to revive. Hikaru and company hurry forth to become
the true Magic Knights, with Cephiro showing serious signs of
decomposition. Meanwhile, Inouva makes a decision on his own for the
sake of Sol Zagato, and head out with the annihilation of the Magic
Knights in mind. He reverts back to his creature form and attacks the
three girls! With all their magic reflecting away from him, and with
their swords unable to slice him, the girls quickly fall into a
disadvantage against Inouva's true form. Meanwhile, Ferio remembers his
true past... but will he be able to share the knowledge about Inouva's
weakness that he receives from his sister with the Magic Knights before
it's too late?
Episode 18 The Last Mashin:
Rayearth, Lord of Fire
Zagato swears he will defeat the Magic Knights, despite Emeraude's
plea that doing so will completely destroy Cephiro. Meanwhile, the three
girls were led by Mokona through a cave into the last of the three
shrines that the Mashin were kept to rest in. While Hikaru falls into a
trance, Zagato blocks the way between Umi and Fuu! The test that the
last Mashin, Rayearth, gives Hikaru is more treacherous than those of
the other two: she must fight Zagato alone.... and without armor!
Lafarga arrives at the scene to help Hikaru, but is no match for the
Sol. Will Hikaru be able to show Rayearth the strength of her Heart and
lead the three to become true Magic Knights?
Episode 19 Showdown! The Magic
Knights Versus Zagato
Now that Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu were true Magic Knights, they
challenge Zagato to the final battle that will determine the fate of
Cephiro and its princess! Emeraude, in tears, tries to stop Zagato...
but he leaves her to fight the Knights with his own Mashin. Not only are
the three girls overpowered by his strength, they are shocked to find
that he had done all of this to free Emeraude from the pain of having to
pray only for Cephiro's peace and order. Now, the girls must combine all
their forces to defeat the High Priest to return safely to Tokyo... but
will they be successful?
Episode 20 The Unbelievable Truth
about the Legendary Magic Knights!
The three Magic Knights managed to defeat Zagato with their combo
spell Spiral Flash, and headed inside the castle to meet the princess
they had just rescued. However, there was only one beautiful woman in
the castle. She introduces herself as Emeraude... and when she hears
that the girls defeated Zagato, she summons a gigantic Mashin and
attacks them! The woman was Emeraude who had fallen in love with Zagato
and could no longer pray for Cephiro... and the whole purpose in her
summoning the Magic Knights was to have them assassinate her so that a
new Pillar could be chosen! Faced with their toughest and most
heart-wrenching, obstacle, will the girls be able to do what is best for
everyone?
