Like A Prayer
written by Madonna and Patrick Leonard
Life is a mystery, everyone must stand alone
I hear you call my name
And it feels like home
When you call my name it's like a little prayer
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there
In the midnight hour I can feel your power
Just like a prayer you know I'll take you there
I hear your voice, it's like an angel sighing
I have no choice, I hear your voice
Feels like flying
I close my eyes, Oh God I think I'm falling
Out of the sky, I close my eyes
Heaven help me
When you call my name it's like a little prayer
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there
In the midnight hour I can feel your power
Just like a prayer you know I'll take you there
Like a child you whisper softly to me
You're in control just like a child
Now I'm dancing
It's like a dream, no end and no beginning
You're here with me, it's like a dream
Let the choir sing
When you call my name it's like a little prayer
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there
In the midnight hour I can feel your power
Just like a prayer you know I'll take you there
Just like a prayer, your voice can take me there
Just like a muse to me, you are a mystery
Just like a dream, you are not what you seem
Just like a prayer, no choice your voice can take me there
Just like a prayer, I'll take you there
It's like a dream to me

I have never feared Death.
The first time I saw you, I sensed something in your soul.
In your presence, I saw flames. Incredibly destructive flames
against the blackness of the space from which we fell.
I will never fear Death.
As we grew closer, I could see it more.
The way you rage so silently,
behind your mask of cheerfulness and light.
Death is not the end of anything, because life is only a dream.
You say my name, and I feel your love take me over.
You are a god, you have decided.
I can certainly believe that.
Death embraces me each night.
Your soul is both brighter and darker
than anyone I have ever been aware of.
How did you get to be so wise and yet stay so kind?
Death fills my ears with words of purest feeling.
You are an enigma even to me, and I can see your heart.
It beats only for me, so I will never be alone.
Salvation and damnation seem to lie in your fists.
Uncurled, they are the epitome of gentleness.
Death is my lover.
I’ve died a thousand exquisite deaths by your touch
And been reborn with the power of your kiss.
You are assumed incredibly lucky
because you have proved indestructible thus far.
Death is unstoppable.
Yet you fear that all you love will be destroyed...
When we make love, you cling to me and weep.
I would do anything to stop the tears from your angelic eyes.
Death is sweet.
Others are afraid to see that your humor and sweetness
are only a lovely facade, camouflaging your demons.
How did your mask get to fit so tightly?
Death is beautiful.
You have so much pain inside of you.
I feel it.
I want to make you feel whole again.
I will give you a place to make yourself a man.
Come into my arms, my Shinigami.
Hear my prayers, let me feel your power.
Let me have my dream before you come for me the last time.
Let me love you tonight and always.
Death is Duo Maxwell.
