The Adventures of Triple A

                                 AAA #2

                        "Triple A strikes again!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
	It had been three weeks since their arrival here in Sunnydale or Sunnyhell
 as most of thedemons called it. One in particular named Spike.....who was now
currently involved in pulling one of
the girls out of another fix.
He was beginning to think that Amber was setting herself up just so he
could rescue her from these situations.
	"I really didn't
think it would do that."
	"Well, why do you think they call it explosive?"
	"I dont' know. I thought it was just term! I've only been here for a little
while, I still don't know
what all this means!" Amber pouted as Spike lead her back to Giles. She had began
a particular
interest in seeing the effects of killing certain demons. This time it was an
explosive one. Strange
as it sounded, she wanted to check it out. Seeing as how it's supposed to be
trying to open the hellmouth anyways. Poking it in the stomach with a stake was the
wrong idea, seeing as how it exploded all over her. Now, here she was, being dragged
 back like a little girl by a vampire. Hmp.
Mortals...and some nonmortals
were so testy.
	Spike rolled his eyes. He knew she knew what she was doing. He just didn't
know why the
little brat was doing it. Listen to him. Talking about her like she's  little girl.
 She's almost older than
him. That started to scare him. A childish immortal as old as her. *shudder*
	Picking up the pace,
 the two made it back in time to Giles for her to take a shower and
wash the clothes before anyone knew anything had happened. Amanda and Anya had
 been hanging
out alot lately, seeing the similar interest in revenge over men and Amanda
 had followed Willow
practically everywhere trying to find out more about her magickal abilities and
 how far she had
reached.
	Amber had taken to laying back and taking off time just to sit and watch
 tv or explore the
town. She found it better at night. So calm so peaceful. She didnt have
 to conceal herself from
mortals to be herself, therefore saving energy and feeling more free at
the same time. She often found herself in the graveyards staring at
the headstones and memorials. Her thoughts consumed
her. She had taken
every single one of these lives. She had decided which would live or die when
and where. How and why.  She would skim her eyes over the terrain and
think of all the people that she had controlled up until their death.
How she had killed them, whether their time or not, as the prophets and the
fates, as she was, saw fit.
	That's where Spike always found her. Mourning over someones
grave. Praying to her Gods and Goddess' that they were safe somewhere. He
never understood it either. Why she worried over
what she had done.
It was her job, who she was. She should take it in pride, not in sorrow. She
sometimes reminded him alot of the Poof. Always brooding and sorrowful.
Sad really, but it was different. She had real reason. She hadn't taken life
to feed herself or to satisfy her demon, but
because it was her
job. She couldn't not do it. There was no choice, no selection. She just
did it.
That meant that every life that Angelus and he ever took was actually
lives in their hands, that they had decided had to be taken. And that was
much a bigger burdon than ever Angel had had on his
hands.
	"Pet." Spike said quietly, startling Amber out of her thoughts.
	"Spike. I didn't hear you. Not very smart eh? Being at night
and all. " She swallowed her sadness and walked around him to head towards
Giles, and her current home.
	Spike sighed and followed her. /I'll never understand./
	Angel bounced excitedly as Willow placed out the ingredients.
"It isn't much, but it's a simple spell I created."
	"Wow. I wish I could create a spell!" Angel sighed. Willow giggled
and Angel quickly joined in.
	"Ok, so what's this spell for?"
	"It's to call apon the spirits to tell us of the danger we have
to face so we'll know before hand. I-I've never tried it you should know."
Willow frowned at herself.
	"It's alright. I trust you." Angel said, smiling and
recieving a smile back.
	Willow reached out and took Angel's hands. The two started to
chant and beforelong a small ball of light appeared before them.
	"It looks like my pet oracleball." Angel whispered.
	Willow looked at her stranglyl.
	"I'll explain later." Angel said, returning to the task in front of her.
	Nodding, Willow chanted until the ball was about the size of her head.
	"Spirits of the beyond, we beseech thee. Help us in our future
troubles. Show us now what we face to come." Willow said to the ball.
	Red eyes glowed deeply inside the ball. The girls gasped as
it formed into a monster about twice the size of the slayer. The
projection stood in the center of the room still as could be. It had
giant skewers for arms and crab like snapping claws coming from it's
bony sides. It's red eyes had horns as the bone around them and giant
dripping fang-like protrusions stood out from the side of it's face going
down just below it's mouth. Wings like a lotcus hung behind it,
standing steep. It was haunched over, but still enormous.
	"Blessed be, send this vision back, I beseech thee, spirits.
Blessed be."Willow chanted quickly. The image and the ball dissapeared and
the candle went out.
	Willow ran to the wall panel and flipped on the switch. Her
eyes caught Angels.
	"Buffy." The two chorused.
	"So what all do we know so far. I mean, just to sum it up." Buffy
asked, sitting on a stood by the counter in Giles' house. Amber had
taken a seat by Spike, Angel and Willow to her right.
Xander and Anya
had taken seats in the chair, Anya sitting on Xander's lap and Amanda had taken
her seat near the couch on a recliner. Giles stood in the center of them all.
	"W-Well...as far as we know his name is Jareehl and he
is coming to try and open the Hellmouth. He's pretty powerful, but I see
no reason that you shouldn't be able to beat him
...except
for one problem." Giles' studdered out.
	"Well, ok, so how do I kill him." Buffy asked, jumping off the
stood, ready to rush into battle.
	"Well, you see, that's the problem. There are only two spots on
his body that can kill him."
	"Where?"
	"Well, one is on the inside of his arm and is very well covered.
So I assume that that one is ruled out of question. The other one is
on the back of his neck. There is however a problem. He had a group of
spikes covering his neck, so you will have to get
a very good shot
in to hit the place right. N-now you must
be careful. Jareehl is
very fast and strong, so you will have to
get the shot in quick.
He won't allow much more time than that."
	"Alright,we're off then." Buffy said and started out the
door with Willow, Xander, Anya, Spike and the three fates behind her.
The group searched the town, finally finding their target in a small
alleyway behind a local grocery store beginning to do the ritual to open
the hellmouth. Rushing to him, Buffy hit the demon on it's side, sending
the unsuspecting creature to it's knees. In an instant,
it was up and running
toward the group with it's claws and fangs extended out to strike them with.
Whipping out the ax, Spike ran around back and wedged the metal into the
creatures spine. Screaming in fury, the creature turned and swang
it's giant arm out at Spike as he ducked, almost
sending him flying
into the opposite wall.
	Running quickly up, Willow chanted a spell and was immediatly
suprised at the power that surged through her. Looking back, she saw all
three girls smile at her as their eyes glowed and
streams of power
poured from each into her. Mustering up all her power, Willow threw a
large fireball into the creatures stomach, sending it doubling over.
	Taking her opening, Buffy ran up and sunk the sword through the
back of the creatures neck, wincing as it came out the other side. The demons
eyes went wide and it screamed as it blew up before them. Purplish goo
went flying all over the teens, vampire and three fates. All of them
stood there for moments, caught in shock at the ending that hadn't been
expected.
	"Well...." Dana said after a few moments.
"That was.....
interesting."
	Swatting her arm in a downward position,  Buffy watched in
disgust as the goop went flying off of her onto the cement, making a
sickening plop sound as it hit. Walking over to the girls, Spike
stared down at the three fates. "You three alright?" he asked, not
really sounding concerned, rather amused.
	Amber swiped her hand across her face and threw the goo to the
ground, then glared up at the smirking vampire. "What do you think? And
I wouldn't be smirking if I were you. Your just as
covered in this
crap as we are." she said, still glaring daggers at him.
	Spike's smirk dissapeared as he looked down at himself, then
reached up and pulled a long stream of goo from his hair. "Oh......uhg!"
he moaned and tossed the purple blob to the ground, then turned to walk
away.
	Amber giggled and Angel, then Amanda soon joined in.
Buffy spotted what they were laughing at and joined in.
	"Oh shutup!" Spike yelled back to them as he walked away to go
take a shower.
	Amber threw her arms over Amanda and Angel's shoulders and
laughed heartily. "Come on girls. I say it's time we had a shower. This
stuff is starting to stink."
	"I think I'm also going to have a conversation with Giles about
prewarning us on things like exploding demons." Buffy mumbled and followed,
Xander and Anya behind her.
	Willow ran to catch up with the three fates, giggling at Angel
threw her arm around her shoulders and the girls practically skipped
out of the alleyway and back to Giles'.
	"Ok, so we got rid of the demon....but when did you mention
that it was going to explode?" Buffy asked again, making Giles' blush.
She didn't think she'd ever seen a grown man blush so
much. It was hillarious.
	"Yeah, I don't remember anyone saying anything about getting all
.....yucky." Anya moaned."I thought it was kill and leave. Not kill,
leave and take a long back to get a nasty smell off
of your body."
	"Well, it never said anything about it. I-It just mentioned that
that was the way to kill it. There was no other way and no mention of....
secretion." Giles' winced.
	"Oh well. He's dead, right? That's a good thing. Give him
a break. He only knows what the books tell him. There's no way
he could have known different." Angel said, taking a sip of her pepsi.
	Giles threw her a grateful look before turning back to the group.
The book really hadn't said to much about the demon. He was rare and
didn't really have a habit to cause trouble. It was odd in itself that
he was trying to open the Hellmouth already, but he didn't want to
alert anyone just yet until he had more information on what was really behind
it. He had little contact with the counsel, but what he did, he knew it
was much bigger than the demon they had just battled and much more
info was needed to get Buffy ready to deal with whatever was coming.
	"Well,"Buffy said, interupting his thoughts.
"I think this
calls for a celebration. Bronze anyone?" she smiled.
	"Yes, go on ahead. I will have some time to do some research I've
been meaning to do."
        Giles said, sighing and grateful for a break from the group.
Especially the three newcomers. They unnerved him. Alot.
	"Whohoo! Bronzin' man!" Xander said standing and pulling Anya
up with him. "We need a break from demonage and more time for a little
party makin."
	Anya rolled her eyes, but followed her boyfriend out
the door.
	Buffy laughed and followed. Amber, Amanda and Angel followed
behind.  This was going to be fun. Dancing, singing, music, food, drink.
And most of off, new friends. How much better could it
get. Oh, but things
were just getting started. Little did they know just how chaotic things
would be getting soon enough....
