Earth: Final Conflict is not mine, nor are any of the characters except
Eve, Sarah and May. :) thanks. And ps. Dedicated to the memory of Gene
Roddenberry

"So, where is it today?" Maye asked as she bounced into the
room, her light brown hair bouncing in it's small ponytail as well as
her....ahem...chest. Her hair was up and parts of it and her bangs hung
down.

Sarah turned to her, her own hair up behind a metal pink headband,
"Earth: Final Conflict. That's what the report said."

"What about mission and scavenge items?" Eve asked. She was pulling
her hair up into a partial ponytail that hung over the top of her head down
the sides to the rest of her hair.

Sarah turned back to her console typing up a few things before
reading off the screen. "Ok, for the mission, we have to go aboard the
mothership, however the hell we may be able to do THAT is a mystery and
hack into the computer. We need to bring back any file we can on the
motherships systems. Anything. No specifications."

"So we could get a file on how the lights work and they would be
happy?" Maye asked sitting beside Sarah on the console.

"Yep. And for the scavenger hunt we have to get:
A. a newspaper or magazine with something about the companions in it.
B. A communicator, like one of those Liam has.
and
C. an orb, you know those glowy orbs they have that are like lights?
Those."

"Coolness." Eve said walking over to her chair and pressing a few
buttons on her console, activating the auto pilot. "Alright, we
should get changed. We leave in T-minus one hour."

The three girls walked through the cooridoors to their respective
rooms to change. Eve wore a silky white tank top with a metallic type material
made jacket over it. The jacket was only to the top of her abdomen though,
much shorter than the tank. She had on black stretch pants with slightly
belled bottoms and black boots. Maye wore a white tank top of cotton and
a short black skirt with a slit up each side and black boots as well. Sarah
had a red top made of velvet that had regular tank straps and side straps
that hung around her upper arm as well. She also wore black pants and
crimson velvetine boots with stiletto heels.

Maye slipped on the Dimension Jumper and set the modes while the
others grabbed their futuristic packs. One was brown leather with metallic
strings and the other was the same material as Eve's jacket.

"Alright, Maye, let's go." Sarah grinned and grabbed ahold of
Maye's right arm while Eve grabbed her left. Eve pressed the blue
button and the vortex engulfed them, transporting them to an empty alleyway
just offside the street.

"What a rush." Eve said, starting out toward the street with her
two friends right behind her.

The streets were bustling in the Washington atmosphere. The three
emerged, easily blending in with the other pedestrians. They all
looked around the side walks and busy streets watching as th EFC dimension
people passed.

"Hey, look!" Maye said, pointing to a newspaper stand not
twenty feet away. Sure enough, the front of the cover on the days newspaper
was headlined with Companion news. Looking both ways, the girls carefully
crossed the busy intersection a little ways down the street and ran up to
the stand. Buying the paper from the vender the girls smiled. They already
had one of their scavenge items. This jump would be an easier one.

"Now all we need to do is the mission and the other two scavenge
items." Eve commented.

"Yeah, but the big prob is getting on board the ship." Sarah
said, turning to look at Eve expectantly.

Taking on a playful french tone, Eve grinned. "Ah, but
cherie, that is what szis is for, no?" She said pulling out a small
device from her pocket.

"And just what in the nine hells is that?" Maye exclaimed.

"It's a transport cloaking device. It lets us go anywhere through
the transports without being detected. Now all we need to do is get the
transport number for the mothership." Eve groaned, looking around.

"And just how the hell do we do that?" Sarah asked as the three
girls began their walking again, this time toward the cafe that Auger
lived at, unconciously of course.

"I don't know. That's our big prob. We need the coordinates.
If Liam were here-"

"Speak of the devil." Maye said, pointing into the window of the
cafe. There at a table was Liam and Auger. Maye got an evil look. "I have
an idea."

******

"Hi." came the seductive voice, pulling Liam and Auger from their
conversation. The two turned to look up at the girl who had spoken.
There were two others beside her. "Mind if we join you?" she asked
even as the girls pulled up chairs and sat down. Maye had had the girls
all talk in country hick voices.

	"Well, um.."Liam started.

"This is sort of a private conversation." Auger put in for
him.

Maye acted as if she hadn't heard him. She sat down beside him,
Eve beside her and Sarah beside Liam. "We just couldn't help but
notice how cute you two looked sitting here. Very cute. " she grinned
and winked at him.

The others could have sworn he blushed before smiling a little
back.

She continued."You wouldn't mind if little ole us sat with you for
a few minutes would ya? I mean, there aren't any cute guys where we come
from and you two are just soooo cute."

"I guess it wouldn't hurt. We can always continue later, right
Auger?" Liam gave the other man a look. He obviously got it cause he smiled
and nodded his agreement before talking. "Yeah, sure, I guess we can talk
bout it later. I kinda like the attention. I'm Auger by the way." he held
his hand out to Maye, then Eve then Sarah who all shook it in turn.

	Liam did the same. "Liam."

"I'm Maye and these here are my bestest best friends. Eve and Sarah."
she pointed at them each.

Sarah took her cue. "What in the blue blazes is THAT?" she pointed
at Liams communicator. Liam looked at her like she was crazy.

	"It's a communicator."

"Really?? Wow! I've never ever seen one of them before."

The two men looked at the girls like they were strange and Eve quickly
explained. "We're from the country. This is our first trip here. It look us
all of three summers working out in the barns to save up enough to come here."
she grinned a hick grin. The two men suddenly had looks of understanding.

"Ah, i see." said Auger. "So you two have never even seen one
of those before??"

"Nope! It looks so Cool, though!" Sarah said, eyeing it in awe.
Liam pulled it off of his belt without thinking.

"Here, take a look, but be careful, k? This button turns it on,
but don't push anything else, never know who you'll dial." he laughed.

"COOL!" Sarah said taking it and acting as if she were in awe of
it's design. Truth was they had the same things back on the ship. She
really did need to remember to suggest they take them on jumps. She looked
it over and turned it on, making sure he was turned back to the other
conversation being carried on between her friends and Auger, which was
inncodentally lies about working at a farm for money, before she pressed
the link that said 'internal diagnostics'. Going from there, she saw that
there was a memory list for all transports within the last hundred hours.
Pressing the button silently she watched as a list of numbers and letters
came up. She assumed the one that was most on there would be the mothership
coordinates. Skimming quickly over it, she wrote down the two top used ones
that were the same number of times in the last hundred hours. Keeping it in
the back of her mind, making sure she remembered it, Sarah repeated the
numbers. She was extremely thankful she had a partial photographic memory.
Quickly exiting that to the main 'on' screen she turned back and got
Liams attention, who took it back gratefully. She explained she wasn't
sure how to turn it off. He simply smiled and pressed another button and off
it went.

Eve felt the light kick on her ankle from Sarah and in turn
kicked Maye lightly.

"Well, we really should go, gotta get that hotel room if we want
somewhere's to sleep tonight. It sure was nice of you boys to let us sit
with you all for a while." Maye grinned.

	"Sure thing."

	"Anytime."

"See you two later." Eve said with a wink. The three girls waved bye
and left the resturaunt, walking about a block until Eve pulled the other
two into an alley.

"Ok did you get it, Sarah?" she asked.

"Yeah I did. There were two of them, so i got both, let's hope that
they are the right ones." she smiled.

"Alright. Let's not wait any longer. Come on." Eve said leading the
others out of the alley way and to a secluded stairway transport station. Eve
stood in front of the station and opened it quickly while her friends hid
her from view and she plugged in the small chip in a small station for memory,
hanging on to the normal chip as she signaled for the coordinates. She stood,
ready to type them in.

"Ok, here are the coordinates for the first." Sarah said, closing
her eyes and bringing them up." Imput DXY 532A78.094" Eve entered the
coordinates then set it for ten seconds.

After removing the small cloaking chip, the three girls quickly
got into position in the transport and waited till it lit up blue and in
a flash they were transported through the beam to another destination.
Eve sighed and groaned as they looked up from anothe
r outside transport.
The two looked over at Sarah.

"Sorry. Must have been where he started from most the time. " she
grinned sheepishly.

"Let's try the other one."Eve said, walking over to the transport
input station and did the same thing with her chip.

	"Ok, it's DXY 0J1482.391"

Again the three girls got into the transport station and waited
for transport. Once it was complete they found themselves on a
secluded area of the ship. It was lit up in blues and purples and whites
all over. There was an open door to the right. This must be a private
terminal. Good thing they had used the cloaking chip, otherwise an alarm
probably would have gone off.

"Come on." Eve whispered to her sisters and walked quietly over
to a cabinet of sorts on the side. It was glass and slid up to open. She
touched it and the door slid noiselessly up. There were small alien
'hand guns' and six communicators.

"Hey look!" Maye whispered pulling out a gun and a small waist holster.
Placing it around her waist under her pants, She holstered the small
charge weapon. "Let's each take one, just in case." she smiled. The others
rolled their eyes but took one. Always the cowgirl. After situating it and
taking one of the communicators and placing it in her small pack she had
brought along with the newspaper, Eve motioned for the girls to follow. They
were all bent down a little to be cautious. They went down a few cooridoors.

"Eve, I just don't see anything like an orb around here!" Sarah
whispered.

Eve sighed and motioned for the other two to fall back. "Let me
check around this last cooridoor and then we'll head back." she said before
carefully walking toward the intersection.

Turning the corner she turned around to make sure noone was coming
from the other way before turning back forwards and almost running directly
into a stunned Da'an.

"Oh no." she whispered. Da'an stared at her in shock. The two stood
there for a moment before Eve decided to speak. "hi." she said quietly.

"Who are you? You are not supposed to be here, are you?" the taelon
asked.

"Um......no, I'm not. But please dont' tell anyone." Eve gave her
puppy eyes. Da'an was about as tall as she was if not an inch or two taller.
The taelon stared down at her.

"Why? If you are here to harm the ship-"

"No! No i'm not." Eve quickly said. "Look...." she started before
shaking her head a little and looking back toward the cooridoor her friends
were in. "PST."

The two girls came out behind her and stood behind her with awed
expressions. "See..we are here on sort of a mission." she started. "It has
nothing really to do with your ship. It's kinda like a quest. Not to hurt
anything but we have to get these things or we fail." she whispered.

	Da'an suprisingly looked understanding.

"But see....we're short one thing." Eve continued. We had to
get a communicator," Sarah pulled out the comm and Maye pulled out the
newspaper from her bag. "And a paper. But we also needed an orb of some
sort from here and we have no clue where it is. We haven't been able to
find anything." Eve gave Da'an a helpless look.

Da'an stood for a moment before looking beyond the girls then behind
himself then turned back to them. "Follow me." he gestured gently.

"You'll help us?" Maye asked suprised.

Da'an simply nodded his head. "Come now, before Zo'or finds you
are here." he smiled gently.

"Thanks!" Eve whispered loudly to him as they started off towards
someplace unknown.

*****

Entering the dark room, Da'an spoke a Taelon word and lights of blue
flooded the room. Da'an led the girls over to a small port in the wall and
pressed his hand on the side of the wall on a panel. It lit up in soft blue
and white colors. One of the many tubes in the wall slid out into the open
for two feet or so. It was a thick white tube that was about a foot in diameter.
Da'an opened the top up and pulled out one of what must have been a hundred
small orbs. They were only as big as his palm and he gave a soft smile as he
handed it to Eve who's jaw was open before closing the tube and sliding it back
in.. It was beautiful. It was swirling blue and white lines with a milky
substance in the background. It was warm to the touch.

"What is it anyways." Eve asked softly, handing it to Sarah and
Maye for them to see it.

"It is part of our power source. However we have an unlimited
number and they are very disposable. I wish you good luck on your....quest.
I must now return or Zo'or will be looking for me." giving a small hand
motion and a smile, Da'an glided out of the room and down the hall and out
of sight.

"Wow. Ok, let's get it in the pack and get the file and then get going.
Did we bring the disc?" Eve asked. Maye leaned down and unzipped a hidden
zipper on the inside of her pant leg and pulled out a small round disc, handing
it to Eve. "Cool. Let's go."

The two friends followed Eve as she led them down a hall. She had
seen the show enough to know where a secret terminal was that was pretty
secluded. Again avoiding guards and others in the halls, the girls made
their way there and Sarah quickly tapped into the computer system,
grabbing a random file and placing it in the disc before the three rushed
back to the transport terminal and imput the first coordinates they were at.
They were taken back to the stair case transport and walked unsuspiciously
off, making sure all info of their transports were erased from the systems
before heading back to the alley. It was the easiest way to leave without
being noticed.

"Hey, one more thing before we go." Maye smiled, pulling out her
communicator that the girls had grabbed. She dialed Liams number,
remembering seeing the link number on his comm and waited. Moments later
Liam's image, shocked showed up on the system.

"Hi, Liam," Maye said in her normal voice."We just wanted to thank
you and Auger for having us for lunch. We really couldn't have done it
without you."

"Done what?" Liam asked getting nervous.

"Well, that's for us to know and you to hopefully find out
right? Oh and by the way.....tell Da'an hi for us." she giggled before
closing off the connection. The girls grabbed onto her arms as she pushed
the button and they were Jumped back to their own dimension.

*****

"Wow, that was a pretty short jump." Sarah commented.

"I still can't believe we got to meet Da'an!" Maye smiled excitedly
as all three girls put away the objects they had gotten. Sarah put the
disc in a special case and they put in the extra weapons in the box as
well, then marked it 'Earth: Final Conflict'.

"Hey, let's go ahead and take a look at that file. Maybe we got
something important...like Invasion plans!" Maye squealed.

Eve rolled her eyes and grabbed the disc out, placing it into the
computer and staring at the screen for a few moments before bursting out in
laughter. Her friends came up beside her.

"What? What is it?" Sarah asked.

Eve wiped her eyes as she pointed to the screen. "It's plans
for future bathroom installments!" she laughed. The others joined in
giggling for a few moments before regaining their senses and replacing
the disc in the case.

All three girls were extrememly tired and headed on out, making
sure the computer on the ship was still in working auto order before making
their separate ways to their rooms.

An hour later, after a shower and a nice lotion rub, Eve lay on
her bed reflecting on the days events. And all she could wonder was how
much more fun tomorrow would be...
