Exploring Reality

Buffy groaned clutching her head. All the pounding of the music was
grinding in a massive headache. Sitting up, she noticed the rest of the
group laying unconsious or trying to revive themselves the same as her. She
gathered her bearings and tried to remember what had happened. One minute,
they were all there, fighting the new demon. Simple task. The next, a flash
of light and she was waking up in an alley behind the bronze.

"What happened?" Willow asked sitting up. She looked around. "How
did we get here?"

"That looks to be the question of the hour, pet. Care to tell what
you did wrong this time, slayer?"

	"ME?!"

"Yeah, you, you were the one beating on that...."

"Me? How dare you! I was just doing my job as a slayer and....."

The two continued to rag on each other at the same time.

"Would you two please be quite!"Angel said suddenly, breaking the
fight up by pulling Buffy up beside him.

"Yes, thank you, Angel. Now, we need to logically figure this out."
Giles cleared his throat. The group started discussing what they remembered.

Willow took the moment to look around at where they were and stopped
the conversation being held with a gasp. The others turned to look at her,
confused. She had a far away look in her eyes.

"Were in another dimension! OH! Not again!" she wimpered.

"Willow, how do you know that?" Buffy asked.

Willow wasn't listening however, but making her way to the front of
the Bronze to confirm her suspicions.

"Willow! Wait!" Xander called running after her, the others close in
tow.

"Oh, hell, what now?" Spike mumbled before taking off.

Music from the hottest band in Sunnydale rumbled through the Bronze.
The bodies danced frantically to the hard alternative beat.

As the group entered, they all froze in shock as they took in the
band.

	I'll tell you something,

	I am a wolf but,

I like to wear sheeps clothing,

	I am a bonfire,

	I am a vampire,

	I'm waitin' for my moment,

Taking up the front in lead singer was a leather pant encased Willow!
Wearing red leather pants and a deep green tank top that fell above her
stomach, exposing her bellybutton ring and a small tatoo in the corner of
left hip. The black 4 inch heeled boots tapped with the beat. Her shoulder
length long red hair swung around her shoulders as she sang the words to the
song. Her long nails painted black and red alternatly gripped the microphone.
Her deep green eyes glazed over with the heat of the moment as she got lost
in the song. A silver ring with an embedded emerald sat comfortably on her
left ring finger. She wore dark crimson lipstick and a light beige/green
eyeshadow with thick black liner.

You come on like a drug,

	I just can't get enough,

I wacking out and coming at you for a little more,

And there's so much to say,

	I can't afford to wait,

I never needed anybody like this before,

To her right, a very different Harmony played the electic guitar with
practiced ease, singing along in her turn. She concentrated on her playing,
flashing occasional smiles at the rest of the group as the interlude soon
came. Her blond hair braided back on top, hung loosly down her back to her
elbows. Her makeup darker, more mature. She had streaks of black through her
hair that tossed unevenly in her face as she swayed with the guitar. She wore
tight black leather pants and a hot pink halter top with long flaring
sleeves. She had black 3 inch boots that fell into beat with her tunes.

	I'll tell you something,

	I am a demon,

	Some say my biggest weakness,

	I have my reasons,

	Call it my defense,

	Be careful what your wishing,

To her left, a very short hair-cut Cordelia played the bass guitar
with avengance. Her deep blue nails a contrast to the medium blue tank that
hung off her shoulders to just above her stomach. Tight black leather encase
her legs to her calves where they changed to a softer flairing material out
around her tall black stiletto heeled boots dancing tightly to the deeper
beat. Her hair was cut almost her her ears, tossing out on the sides making
her look cuter, but more dangerous. Her deep red eyeliner made her look punk
and the silverish red lipstick only added to the effect. Small butterfly pins
were stuck in her hair. She also sung in along with the background vocal
parts.

	I have my reasons,

	Call it my defense,

	Be careful what your wishing,

You come on like a drug,

	I just can't get enough,

I wacking out and coming at you for a little more,

"Bloody hell..."Spike murmered, stepping forward as the groups eyes
caught hold of the drummer beating expertly on the heavy skins. "Dru...."

Drucilla sat behind the large barrels beating away to her own
familiar beat with skill that must have taken years. Her dark hair was
brushed strait back and occasionally swung into her face, which she just
flipped away with a swash of her hair. Her makeup was dark brown with a
deep red paint on her lips. She wore a black tank top with a low cut back
and tight black leather pants. Her black combats pounded away on the barrell
petal with avengance. She was also singing in on turn and smiling.

The most amazing thing however was the light in her eyes. There was
one there. Awareness and clarity shone bright. She was sane.

And there's so much to say,

	I can't afford to wait,

I never needed anybody like this before, ooh, oh, ooooh.

	You are a secret

	a new possesion,

I like to keep you guessing

The group stared in silence as the band continued the heavy beated
song. Buffy caught the glances that the singing Willow was giving off to the
side of the stage and followed, her mouth dropping open at what she saw. The
others followed her gaze and were shocked to see Spike standing and smiling
at Willow off the side of the stage. A very gorgeous, very red-tipped head
Spike. His peroxide locks were spiked and shaded from white to red a the tips
of them. He was bobbing his head lightly in time with the song, smiling
largely everytime the redhead gave him a glance. He was dressed differently
as well. He wore tight ass black jeans that molded to his body like a second
skin and a dark blue button-up longsleeve shirt, the cuffs undone and
slightly rolled up. Black combat boots were the same on his feet and his
every-present duster hung from his folded arms.

You come on like a drug,

	I just can't get enough,

I wacking out and coming at you for a little more,

And there's so much to say,

	I can't afford to wait,

I never needed anybody like this before, ooh, oh, ooooh.

The song ended and the crowd went wild screaming for another song,
but Willow anounced that there would be a break and to enjoy the pre-
recorded music. A familiar beat came on and the crowd restarted their
dancing.

Cordy and Harmony took off their guitars and Dru started re-
tightening her drums. Willow smiled and sauntered over to the edge of the
stage, dropping lightly down into Spike's waiting arms, smiling warmly at
him. Spike tightened his grip on her and leaned down, pressing a passionate
kiss on her lips before Willow told Harmony something, who nodded, then he
dragged her off backstage and out of site.

Spike and Willow stood in shock as their doubles kissed and then ran
off backstage, most likely to get in a quick shag, Spike thought. He chanced
a glance at Willow who was still staring after her other self in amazment.
The others had caught this as well.

"Ok." Buffy said."So far we know that Wills, Cordy, Harmony and Dru
are a major metal grunge band and Spike is Willow's boyfriend."

	"Fiance'." Cordy corrected her.

"What??" Three asked at the same time.

"Didn't you see the rings? geez, you people are so unobservant! They
were both wearing pretty expensive bands on their left ring fingers. You only
wear them there if you are getting married! Duh!" she sighed and rolled her
eyes.

"Ok, fine, engaged. Whatever!" Xander said. "Point is, were stuck
here and that is just too freaky for me!" he said, sitting down. Anya sat
down, patting his arm. "Would it make you feel better if we had sex?"

The others glared at her. "What?"

Xander patted his girlfriends arm. "Not now, Anya."

	She nodded.

Willow fell into a seat in the corner of the Bronze as the rest of
the group sat down to observe the changes. Spike sat down into a seat beside
her, watching her reaction carefully. He had always had a small thing for
the redhead, but now, seeing them so perfect togather in another world upped
his feelings a few steps. Feelings he knew he would get staked for and felt
like a sissy sometimes for, but if that were the results of their getting
togather......he smiled a bit to himself.

"Well, at least someone is having fun." Buffy remarked at his slight
smirk.

Willow saw the same and blushed. Why in the world was he smiling??
He just found out that in another world, he got stuck with her?? She
certainly didn't think it very amusing.

Just then, Spike noticed Dru and Harmony walking towards the bar and
watched as Dru walked up to a man he didn't recognize and kissed him. Harmony
did the same to her signifigant other.

The alternate Spike came out of the back room followed by Willow,
holding her hand and smiling broadly.

Spike smirked, 'that was quick', he thought.

A tapping on the microphone brought the groups attention back to the
stage. The Cordelia with the short hair was up on stage, trying to get
everyone's attention. "Um.. excuse me! Ex-Excuse me!! HEY!... thanks." she
smiled as the audience turned their attention to her. "Ok, first off, thanks
for coming to our show. We really appreciate it." she smiled over at Willow
who was perched on Spike's lap." I just wanted to give thanks to our manager,
Spike, for all his hard work on this group. Without him we suck. Well.. you
know."

The alternate Willow laughed, then turned to plant a firm kiss on
Spike's lips. He wrapped his arms around her and smiled back.

"Also, I just wanted to say congradulations to Spike and Will on
their engagment. The party was a blast guys. I don't think anyone will be
forgetting a drunken Spike anytime soon. By the way Spike, no, the ducks did
not get to come to the party. The zoo said something about a technicality."

The crowd burst into laughter as the red-tipped Spike glared at Cordy,
but couldn't stop the grin from spreading on his face. "Thanks, Cor. I don't
think I could have survived without that embarrassing peice of knowledge."

"Oh, well, you know we just love ya so much, had to let you know the
duckies were ok." she giggled as the crowd skattered out a round of quiet
chuckling.

Spike flipped her off to which he simply recieved a smile.

Cordy continued on stage while the newcomers in the back stared at
their Spike in disbelief.

He glanced at Willow who giggled. "Duckies?"
Willow laughed
and stood pulling him towards the backstage again. "Come
on I'll tell you about it backstage. I have to change anyhow."

The alternate Spike with the newcomers watched as the two walked
backstage once more. 'Again?' he smirked and glanced at the blushing
redhead beside him. 'Interesting....'

"Willow, my dear, that was perhaps the best performance I've
seen yet." Spike murmered against her neck as he held her from behind.
Willow leaned back into his caresses through the
front of her shirt
as he found her breasts.
	"Flatterer." She grinned.
	"Just telling the truth."
"Thank you sweetie." She said, turning and planting a kiss
firmly on his mouth. Grabbing his hand, she pulled the unresisting Spike
with her towards the door that lead back out into the
Bronze. "Dance with me."
Spike smiled, taking the lead and pulling her with him out
to the dance floor as a slower song took up and more couples started to
dance. Pulling Willow into his arms, Spike layed his
head on her
shoulder as she rested hers on his chest. Running one hand up and down
her back and the other through her hair, Spike lead the two into
a soft swaying motion.

How do you cool your lips
after a summers kiss
how do you rid the sweat
after the body bliss
how do you turn your eyes
from the romantic glare
how do you block the sound of a voice
you'd know anywhere

As the visitors from another dimention took seats in the
corner of the Bronze so not to be noticed, Xanders voice caught their
attention back to the dance floor.
"Their back....and their dancing. Too wiggy." he said, turning
from the romantic scene unfolding on the dance floor.
Willow glanced over and found herself caught up staring at the
couple that mimicked her looks out on the Bronze dancing center. Even
Spike found himself entranced by how the two seemed to glow as they danced
to the soft beat of the song. The words were flowing through the
Bronze, making every body in the building feel as if they needed to sway.
Spike sat back, keeping his eyes on the two copies of himself
and Willow before them, not a hundred feet away, unnoticing anything
around them but each other.

oh i really should have know
by the time you drove me home
by the vagueness in your eyes
your casual goodbyes
bye the chill in your embrace
the expression on your face that told me
maybe you might have
some advice to give
on how to be
Insensitive

Spike pulled Willow closer, inhaling her scent in deeply, wanting
every part of her to be a part of him. Not long ago had he realized
just how much he wanted and needed this woman in his
arms. This woman
who had saved him from eternity. He had been so grateful when Dru had
introduced them to know someone that wasn't tied to their form of life.
Little had he imagined just how deeply and wholey this siren would creep
her way into his heart, his very being and if he had
one....his soul.
He couldn't imagine life without her and never would want to. He would
eternally be grateful to his sire for her unknowing help in his love
life. She never could have known it would happen, but was overjoyed to
find out when he had announced to the band that they were being
married. And he only had another month to go before he could finally
call her his wife. Before he could finally say she was his, totally and
eternally. For on their wedding night, they had agreed, he
would turn her....soul and all.

How do you numb the skin
after the warmest touch
how do you slow your blood
after the body rush
how do you free your soul
after you've found a friend
how do you teach your heart from crying
to fall in love again

Willow moaned, pushing herself into Spike closer and closer.
She wanted to be in every bit of him. Not just his body, but his
emotions as well. As he had been in hers. She never wanted to
give up this feeling...ever. She still couldn't believe that the
one.....the ONE she had been waiting for her entire life was a vampire.
But it didn't matter at all anymore. And it never did, she supposed. It
was never a problem, never a qualm when it came to the fates. She knew
from the moment he had told her that he loved her that it was meant to be.
Maybe even far before that. But either way, she knew that it didn't
matter now, because all that DID matter was the two of them...here...
forever. That was why she had agreed....even been thinking of
suggesting before he asked her....that he should
turn her that
night. Their wedding night, she would be with him forever. No matter
what. She would go through heaven and hell...and beyond. With her
soul attatched to her, she would be with him throughout eternity.

oh you probably won't remember me
it's probably ancient history
i'm one of the chosen fools
who went ahead and fell for you
i'm out of vogue i'm out of touch
i fell to fast i feel to much
i thought that you might have
some advice to give
on how to be
insensitive

The newest group watched as Spike pulled his head away from
Willows shoulder and took her face between his palms, stroking her soft
skin gently with his fingers and leaned down to kiss
her gently all
over her face. First her lips, then her eyes... Willow reached up with
her hands and gently took ahold of his arms, stroking them softly and
closing her eyes as he kissed her face. He had such passion towards her.
Running his hands gently down the sides of her face to her neck
then down her shoulders, he finally took her hands in his and held them
softly, pressing his forehead to hers as they continued to sway to
the song. The beat running through them.

oh i really should have know
by the time you drove me home
by the vagueness in your eyes
your casual goodbyes
bye the chill in your embrace
the expression on your face that told me
maybe you might have
some advice to give
on how to be
Insensitive

Wrapping their arms around each other, Spike and Willow hugged
and shared a final passion-filled kiss, before Spike lead Willow off of
the dance floor to a table where the band was
situated and pulled
Willow down into his lap. Giving her a soft kiss on the forehead, they
two turned and began to talk to one another in hushed tones.
The currently confused Spike from the alternate dimension
turned to glance at the little red- headed witch beside him before
noticing her absence. The others were all too busy to realize it and
paid no attention as Spike stood and quickly retreated from the table to
go off in search of Willow.
Following her scent, Spike took the backway out of the doors
and spotted her walking slowly away from the Bronze into an alley.
Though he could sense no danger down the alleyway,
she still shouldn't
have been taking chances. Walking quickly up behind her, Spike grabbed her
arm, catching her attention. She gasped and turned, then let out a
sigh of releif, seeing that it was only Spike.
"You shouldn't be out here alone, you know?" he said softly.
"What does it matter to you?" She asked bitterly, tossing
his hand off of her arm and continuing.
"Why the hell shouldn't it? And what made you so ticked?" he asked
slightly miffed that she would scrub him off so casually.
Stopping, Willow turned and leaned against the wall of the alleyway,
looking up at Spike after sighing. "It's just that everywhere I go, in
every reality I see, I always have someone...whether it
be a vamp Xander or
....you." she waved him off, not noticing the slightly hurt expression
that passed through Spike's eyes."I always have someone....and
back there...whereever we came from...."she
trailed off.
"You don't." he finished for her.
"Yeah" she whispered. "They all leave." A lone tear fell down her
face and she turned, wiping it, then smiled a false smile that Spike now
recognized as the smile she used so many times. He hadn't noticed just
how much pain it took to make that smile everyday until now. He
could see what a struggle it was to smile for her.
Spike was suddenly reminded of the song's lyrics that his
and her doubles had just danced too as he looked at this girl in pain.
That must have been her song each time she saw the Slayer kiss a new
boyfriend or she looked at a picture of her past loves. Spike
felt a terrible tugging at his heart as he thought of each of these acts
being done everyday.
Carefully, as if gauging whether or not to do it, Spike layed his
hands on her shoulders and pulled her to him, hugging her gently and giving
her the chance to pull away. To his suprise, Willow
took in the rare
moment of comfort, pulling herself fully to him and wrapping her arms
about him, hugging him and pressing her cheek to his chest.
