Amelia and Lina came bounding in followed by an extremely
tired (and hungry, though, isn't he always? heehee), Gourry. He groaned
and sat down looking at Zel strangely.
"Hey, Zel, what are you sweatin for? You weren't
dancing and it's not hot in here. Are you
ok?"
'Damnit, he of all people would have to notice.' Zel cursed
to himself.
"Yeah," Lina butted it. "You too Anya, your dress is all
covered in sweat.....I mean, I know you were dancing, but that was a
while ago, right? Soooo, why are you sweating now?
	'Uh, oh.........'
"Uh, maybe it's the drinks. I mean, they are strong, you know."
she tried to explain lamely.
"Ok," Lina waved her hands in front of her face at them.
"I dont' WANNA know what you two were doing back here, ok? Let's just leave
that stuff out of public."
Anya laughed and Zel turned red and wanted to die right then and
there.

That night the group decided to stay in a large inn with really
big rooms. The fee was alot so they only got three rooms instead of six.
Not that they needed more than three. Xellos and
Amelia took the first
room, one decorated in black and white. (Oh, gods, does that FIT them OR
WHAT?). Lina and Gourry took the pink and blue, (which pretty much fit them
as well) and Zel and Anya took the one with soft multi-colored
pastels. Mostly white though. It looked so sweet,
like a honeymoon room.
Zelgadis noticed this aspect first and smiled to himself as he
swept Anya up in his arms carrying her into their room, locking the
door behind them. Zel layed Anya down on the bed and smiled mischeiviously at her.
"What?" she asked smiling up at her.
"I have something I bought for you that morning that you
and Amelia went shopping. I think
you'll like it."
"Oh?" Anya sat up on her elbows at this.
"Yeah." Zel sat on the edge of the bed, brushing her hair
before reaching into his almost unnoticable pocket. He pulled out a
ring. A pure silver ring. A beautiful pure silver ring. There were
no designs on it, but it was gorgeous and seemed to glow like a star.
"Oh, Zel..."Anya's voice seemed to fade away like a song into
the black wild of night. She smiled and took the ring in her palm.
"Look on the inside." he whispered.
Anya turned the ring sideways and read the inscription. "Though
the distance may part us, my love for you will follow. Oh.....Zel!" Anya
almost cried as she launched herself into his arms
hugging him tightly,
then pulled away and kissed him hard on the lips.
Zelgadis crawled up beside her in the bed and the two slipped
under the covers, holding each other closely before falling fast to
sleep. Anya slipped the ring onto her left ring finger and smiled at
her own silly prospects.

Lina smiled at her as Anya entered the inn's tavern right
behind Zelgadis, holding his hand in hers. The group situated themselves
at a table in the corner of the inn and began their morning disscussion.
"So...Anya....I have some questions.." Xellos began, wrapping
his arm around Amelia's shoulder as she ate.
"Like what?" Anya asked taking a bite of her blueberry pancakes
of which she shared with Zel.
"Well.....what's it like in your world. I mean, how are
things different there than they are here?"
Anya smiled as she fed Zelgadis a mouthful of pancakes, then
turned her attention to Xellos. "Well, alot of things are different from
here. We have alot of music and tons of multimedia.
It's like, tv's you
know....they show movies, I told you about those. NEways, the main
thing about our world is that it's totally different from the way of
life you have here. We dress differently and we act differently.
There are no dragons or sorceresses or warlocks or anything. No strange
creatures or magick. No wanderers that go from town to town. The only
mercinaries we have are in groups called the Military. They are
all run by one man. We have countries, not kingdoms. No kings. No
queens, except in the small country of England, but they don't rule it
well. No knights. No princesses or princes. Sorry Amelia, but we have
very little justice, except the police, but they are
all pigs, so we call
them popo's. Bacon biters..hehe. Music is so different. Country, rock, metal,
pop, jazz, R&B, alternative and so many more. We are all basically poor
because the government doesn't pay us well. Noone works for money by
slaying dragons or monsters or creatures or doing
little odd jobs. We
get real jobs working for pennies at food places or doing someone elses
laundry cause their too damn lazy to do it themselves. We don't eat
big meals that are pretty much amazing like here. We either eat out where
someone else cooks it for a buck ninety-nine or we
cook instant meals.
Crap for food, no wonder everyone is fat. People my age, your age go to
school for twelve years to learn things we are never going to need or
use. It's meaningless and while you are there you are pushed into one social
catagory or another. A prep, a jock, a wannabe,
a nerd, an outcast like
me, or just some wierdo that noone knows but three people out of a school
of over one thousand."
The group sat stunned at Anya's vivid description. "Now,
you see why I was so desperate to get away and become a part of your world?"
Lina sighed and put a hand on Anya's shoulder. "I'm sorry."
"Well, I didn't mean for you to depress us." Xellos said. "What
about the things you LIKE about your world?"
The group nodded in agreement and Anya thought. Ok, let
me make a list.....
	"Well, let me see....
There's my friends. They are so great to have.
There's my family. They are awsome...especially
my Memaw. She's over 70 and still dancing. Hahha.
I love the Medival Fair. It lets me dress up fancy like a princess
in public and be somone I'm not for three days.
There is C.U.U.P.s, my wiccan coven. They are wonderful to have...
Anime! Movies and music...electronics are wonderful. It's fun
to have too.
The closthes I guess..I mean, I love the clothes here, but
mine are so cool! Especially my GoGo's..... um.......let me see....
cars! Most definatly! And motorcylces! They are the easiest way to
get around! I'll draw it for you later. I used to have the coolest car!"
"See, there are good things." Xellos smiled with his eyes shut.
"Yeah. I wish you all could see it. I think you would love it."
Anya's voice sounded ready to crack with emotion. "I just wish that you
were coming...." Anya broke, turning to cry on Zel's
shoulder.
"Well, come now...don't cry. Just tell us more and try not to
thing about tomorrow, ok?"
"Tomorrow already....."she sighed and wiped her tears. "Oh! We
have great jokes!!!"
"OO! I love jokes!" Lina glowered leaning forward.
"Ok, um...let me see, um, nope, only blond here is Gourry, so
I don't think he'd get these jokes....ok. I have some blond jokes...."
"Ok, tell them then." Lina said, situating herself.
"Ok. How do you kill a blond?"
	The group shrugged.
"Stick 'em in a round room and tell 'em to find a corner."
The group laughed in amusment for a moment, then settled down.
"Ok, a red head, a brunette and a blond jump out of a plane,
who lands on the ground first?"
Again the group shrugged, though Xellos chuckled, obviously
figuring out the answer before the rest.
"The red head and the brunette hit first, the blond had to stop
and ask for directions."
The group laughed a bit louder, obviously liking that a bit
more.
"Ok, here's one about men. Sorry, Zel. Ok, three men came
upon a Genie. Since there were three of them, they each got one wish.
The first man wished to be 20 percent smarter. Poof!
He turned into a
dog." Lina and Amelia giggled."the second man wished to be 100% smarter
than he was. Poof, he turned into a cat." Lina laughed and Amelia giggled
louder." Ok,so the third man thought and thought and finally said....
'I want to be like a god!' Poof! He turned into a woman!!!" Lina,
Amelia and Anya cracked up laughing. Gourry looked confused, Xellos
looked insulted, and Zelgadis looked annoyed and unamused.
	"What?!" Anya asked, shrugging.
"Very funny." Zelgadis smirked and tickled her shortly around her
waist.
Anya giggled and pushed at his hands with no avail.
"Well," Zel said, standing and taking Anya's hand in his. "I
have a full day planned for us, so if you would excuse us, we will see you
all later."
The group nodded as Anya looked at him confused, but
stood and waved to her friends, being led out the door by Zel.
Zelgadis smiled at her as he lead her out into the market place
by the hand.
"So mister-suddenly-secretive, what exactly are we doing today?"
Anya asked, wrapping her arm through his and leaning on him.
"Well..."Zel started, slightly distracted, looking around for
somethings. He lead her over toward some carts on the left and picked
up a whicker basket."I thought we might start with a
picnick." He smiled
at her as she smiled sweetly back.
	"That sounds great, Zel."

The two walked through the market center and bought some chicken
legs, roasted in honey over a hot fire, two apples, two banana's, some
potato sticks (fries basically) and poisin love apples
(in other words,
tomatos, for ketchup.).
Zelgadis also bought some red wine for thirty silver peices, which
Anya thought was way too much, but of course, he didn't listen. Hmp!
(sorry)
The couple then set out into the woods that surrounded the area
and wen't pretty deep into a clearing that the sun beamed down on.
The woods were so bright and cheery today, Anya
thought. They sat
down on a blanket that Zelgadis had bought pretty cheap to line the
basket with and layed out all the food and the wine bottles. There
were no cups, so they just drank out of the bottle. The two lovers sat
there for almost an hour eating and sometimes, for fun, feeding each
other. Anya sighed when she finished and layed back, rubbing her stomach
contently, closing her eyes. The sunlight was bright even through her lids,
until it suddenly became dark and she opened her eyes to find Zelgadis
hovering over her with a single rose in his hand before her face.
Anya gasped and smiled, taking the rose from him.
"I've got eleven more of them that are just as beautiful....
of course, they don't compare to you, but they were as close as I could
get on this world." Zel rolled his eyes up and smiled, then looked at her,
shrugging.
Anya laughed and leaned up past the rose, kissing him deeply
on the lips. Zelgadis responded, pressing back for a moment, before they
both pulled away from the chaste kiss.
He sat up and handed her the basket that once held food, now
filled with roses.
"They are beautiful.. and you should know sir that flattery will
get you....." she paused and Zel perked in interest. "everywhere." she
smiled and kissed him lightly again., taking the basket in her palm
and standing.

They made their way, hand in hand out of the woods, hand
in hand. Some of the woman in the town swooned, smiling at the cute
couple and talking with each other about how men should be
more like that, going out of their way to spend the entire day treating
a lady like a queen. Zel blushed and put his head down, hearing some
of their jealous comments. Anya just smiled and
giggled a little
feeling lucky as hell to have someone who treated her that well. She
would have settled for someone treating her like a normal person and
here she was being pampered. Too bad, she could have gotten used to this.
Zelgadis tightened his grip on her hand and smiled kindly at
her with a child-like smile that made her heart melt. 'He's so cute...'.

"How about we go see a show or something.."Zel asked looking at
the sky and guessing that it was about three o'clock already.
	"A show?"
"Yeah. I hear they have really good theater shows here. We
could probably go see one." Zel smiled, tugging her a little closer to him.
"Just as long as it's not Casablanca on Ice or anything."
Zel laughed and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

After the hour and a half show, the two decided on a walk.
Just a way to be togather without any disturbances.
Zelgadis had his hand in hers as they walked down a secluded path
for sightseers. The town had a small reserve for tourists to see
and a walking path that stretched out for almost three
miles. Anya loved
nature and just being here with him. She leaned her head on his
shoulder and Zel smiled, wrapping his arm around her back and holding
her as they walked in silence for about ten minutes.
"I'm gonna miss you, you know."Zel said quietly, breaking
the silence and Anya just sighed.
"Yeah, I'm gonna miss you, too. I can't believe that I'm
leaving so soon. Geez, your gods can be so cruel, you know."
	"Yeah."
"I wish I had some more time with you, or that you could go with
me.......I can hear our song, you know. In my head, right now..I know
that sounds stupid, but I can hear it."
"Me, too, love. Me, too." Zelgadis sighed, pulling her closer
as they walked.
Cause I can feel you breathe,
	it's washin over me
and suddenly I'm melting into you,
	there's nothing left to do,
and baby all we need is just to be,
	caught up in the touch,
	the slow and steady rush,
baby isn't that the way that love's supposed to be?
	I can feel you breathe,
 	Just Breathe..................

After about an hour of walking and just being togather, they
decided to window shop for a while and it was during that time that
Zel saw the perfect gift for her.
At almost 5:30, Zelgadis suggested that she spend some time
with Lina and the others, due to the fact that he had some things he had
to do.
Anya was a little upset at him leaving, but went ahead on.

"Hey! Back so soon? Wow, you've only been gone for about six
hours!" Lina said laughing.
"Ha, funny. We had fun, though." Anya said sitting down in
a chair around the table in the tavern that her friends had found.
Amelia sat on Xellos' lap, sipping some tea she had gotten
earlier and Lina was holding Gourry's hand on top of the table, gently
squeezing it every now and then to make sure he was still 'with' her in
the mental sense. Each time, he gently squeezed back, smiling at her.
"So," Amelia began. "Where is Zelgadis?"
"I don't know. He said he had some things to do but would be
back later for me." Anya shrugged ordering from the waitress who
replied with a nod.
"He's probably planning a romantic evening."Lina grinned, nudging
her friend gently.
"Lina!" Anya blushed, but nodded slightly.
"Hey before he comes back, you guys wanna go upstairs and talk.
It's kinda noisy down here and I could use some serious girl talk."
Anya smiled.
Amelia shrugged and nodded and Lina said 'Sure'.
The girls made their way upstairs into Anya and Zel's room.
Once they had relaxed and gotten some more to drink, the three girls sat
on the floor relaxing.
"So what did you two do?" Lina asked Anya, leaning down to
stretch on her left leg.
Anya had her hands linked above her head and was stretching as
tall as she could. "Well," She started, bringing her arms down and out
in front of her." First we went shopping for food and
then we had a picnic."
Amelia twisted her shoulders, looking at Anya from her head
propped on her fists as he elbows rested on the floor in front of her.
"Then, he gave me roses and we took a long walk, just being
with each other Then, we looked around at the shops after seeing a
long theatrical show...his idea...and then he dropped me off here and
went off to do something." Anya shrugged, tugging her knees behind her.
"Wow...that sounds so nice, so what do you think he has
planned for later?" Amelia asked, flattening herself out to lay on her
stomach, occasionally kicking her legs.
"I don't know. He was being sort of quiet about it, you know?"
Lina laughed then faked shock. "Our Zel?? Quiet?!"
The three girls fell into giggles.

"So what ARE you planning for tonight, Zel?" Gourry asked
conversationally as the three men sat at the table in the tavern. Zelgadis
had come back an hour after the girls retreated upstairs and
thought it better to let her have her time alone with them.
"Well," Zel started, pulling something out of his pocket and
displaying it to the men.
Xellos let out a low whistle."Nice."
"Yes, I thought I'd give it to her as a going away present."
A small silver celtic knot ring sat in a little black box.
It had cost Zel all of 30 silver. He thought it well worth the price.
Now, all he had to do was gather the courage to give it to her.

MORE TO COME SOON! I PROMISE!!!!
