The group that had gathered in the living room after Buffy had brought the girl over looked up at the sound of someone on the stairs. The girl walked cautiously and shakily down the stairs. Buffy had gotten some of her clothes from the dorm and brought them over. Standing, she walked over to the girl surveying the group with wide disbelieving eyes and the hint of a smiled. She didn't notice Buffy until she felt a soft hand on her arm and looked over at the slayer who held a small friendly, yet cautious smile on her face. The blond held out some clothes to her. "Here, I wasn't sure what your size was, but you look like you'd fit these. What's your name?" Wendy paused. She didn't know why but she was suddenly questioning whether to tell Buffy and went into her own personal debate about the pros and cons because of where she was from. She shook herself out of her daze. "Um...W-Wendy." "Oh, like that burger place!" Xander piped in and then yelped as Anya hit his arm. "What?" he asked. She shook her head at him. "Don't worry, he's always been this stupid." She commented. Wendy giggled softly and the group smiled seeing a little bit of a recovery being made in that moment. "Well," Giles started. "Why don't you go get changed and then when your done we can introduce ourselves properly." he said. Wendy nodded and smiled a little following Buffy to the bathroom. When she came out in Buffy's black tank top and red leather pants, she saw the group waiting anxiously. Giles stood and waited for her to sit before sitting again and speaking. "Alright then. My name is Rupert Giles. However, you can call me Giles, everyone does-" "Except me. I call him G-man. Ain't that right G-man?!"Xander smiled goofily and Wendy giggled a little. "And me, I call him watcher or food, well, I did." Spike mumbled, then noticed the angry glares from the rest of the group. Wendy just giggled as if it were normal for him to say that to guests. The group was a little offed by that, but Buffy quickly refocused the conversation. "Ignore him. I'm Buffy, that's Willow," she pointed at Willow who smiled and waved a little, "That idiot is Xander." she grinned and Xander glared then nodded at Wendy."That's Anya..."Anya tightened her grip on Xander and Wendy smiled at the girl who suprisingly smiled back happy the new girl wasn't interested in her Xander. "AHEM!" Spike brought attention to himself. Buffy rolled her eyes."Oh, yeah. That's Spike. Anyways-" "Hey! I mean something!" Spike protested. "Ok, who agrees with him in here?"Buffy asked sitting back and crossing her arms. Wendy started to raise her hand, but thought better of it because of the questions she would get. "You know he was kidding about that eating people thing, right?" Buffy asked nervously. Wendy let her off with a nod and a soft smile. The group settled a little but the questions still hung in the air and Wendy knew that she couldn't avoid it forever. Sighing she closed her eyes and when she opended them, found the group staring expectantly at her. "My name is Wendy Conner and..."after a breif debate on the concequinces of telling the group the truth, she decided that she'd rather have them know and not be suspicious and then angry when they found out the truth which was inevitably going to happen. She sighed again."...I died in a plane crash last night." she said softly. "What?"Buffy looked confused. "Or at least I thought I did." The group relaxed a little. "Cause it's that or somehow I got thrown into your dimension while I was drowning." she said. The group visually tensed once again. This was not something you heard everyday, even on the hellmouth. "You see,"she started,"where I come from, everything is completely different. There is nothing like what you guys have and experience here. I mean, in my reality, you guys don't even exist." she huffed, trying to find some sort of humor to lighten the mood, but there wasn't any. "You-you say we don-ahem-don't exist?"Giles tried to squeeze out. "Well, I mean, you do...you just don't exist...as you." "What do you mean?" Willow asked leaning forward. "Well, I mean, you guys are like...a tv show. Your actors that play who you are here. I mean, Buffy isn't real....but Sarah Michelle Geller does. And...and Willow isn't real, but Alyson Hannigan is." she said. "What?"They were still confused. "Ok, those are the names of the actresses. They play you and Willow on the TV show Buffy:The Vampire Slayer(tm). I watch it all the time. I wonder if that's why I'm here. I mean, I was thinking about how I wish I were safe when it happened. How I were somewhere that I would love to be...but I never thought...I mean, of course, this could be my own personal heaven. But then, I would have everything or at least the main things I wanted, right? And I mean, it's not happening."she faded out. The group smiled and were reminded of Willow at her babbling. "You say you know everything about us, right luv?" Spike asked sitting back, not caring one bit. "Prove it." he said with a smirk. "Spike! She's tired and she doesn't need to prove anything to you to-" Buffy was cut off by Wendy putting her hand up. She had always loved Spike alot. He was great on the show, but sometimes, she just wanted to tell him off and now, here was her chance. Maybe she'd even earn a little respect. She'd feel a little better venting anyways. She was starting to grow into the angry phase of her 'death'. "Alright, Spike. Vampire. William the Bloody, childe of Angelus, now Angel who has a soul, sorry Buffy, I'm move on quickly," she said, trying not to get the blond slayer upset. Buffy nodded. "Your 127 years old, your an Aries and you have a little chip in your head so now you can't bite. I feel sad for you but honestly move on, babe, I mean, there is something else to do besides bite people! Like, get a job or something." there was a short session of laughter as she continued."DOn't you have an apartment or something, I mean, that crypt is just old and doesn't that remind you of Harmony. God! What a ditz! I mean, how stupid can you be. Kinda brings blonds to a new low..another level of brainlessness...not you Buffy." she smiled at her. The slayer almost laughed."I mean, your not even a real blond and your just as brainless. Come on! You could have anyone and you choose them?????uh! Yuck....much."She added on for good measure. "Should I talk about Dru or no?" From the glare she recieved from the vampire, she assumed no. "Whoh."Xander commented amazed. "Yeah."Willow agreed."Oh! OH!, can you do me,but..um..without the sarcasm insert." Wendy smiled."Ok. Willow Rosenberg, 19, parents never home so you stick with your friends. Computer genius. I love the internet. So cool. Help out. You've had your ups and downs. Run in's with Demons and Spikey here." she could hear Spike growl and smiled,"Alot of people underestimate you hon. You have alot of fire under that fluffy exterior, we saw that with Vamp Willow. God, she cool! Sorry, anyways, you can be very intimidating when you wanna be. Try leather sometime, girl. It works on you." Willow blushed as she noticed the strange stares. "What??!"she growled. Spike chuckled. "Her? Uhhuh." he rolled his eyes, earning an evil glare from Willow and Wendy. "Well, you weren't here when Vamp Willow came, were you?" Wendy asked him and he looked at her strangly."I can't believe noone ever told you about her!" She leaned closer to him so that Buffy couldn't hear."Ask Will or me about Puppy sometime." she whispered. The others looked at her strange, not hearing what she said. "What?" he asked. "Later." she growled out. "Anyways...Vampire Willow? I can't see her as a vampire lasting more than a day." "Well, Mr.Smart-ass-I-know-it-all-vampire, she was picked by the master himself!"Xander chided in. "The Master?"Spike looked at Willow shocked. "Anyhow, so back in my reality or whatever, we have all sorts of stuff, magazines, books, mugs, necklaces, rings, posters, movies, soundtracks to the series and the origional motion picture. I also read fanfics." "Fan-what?"Giles asked. "Fanfiction,"Willow said,"It's stories written by people that include the characters from a tv show or movie or something. I read some of those." "Yeah. That's it. Anyways, I read alot of BTVS fic and Angel fic." she sighed at the strange looks they were again giving her. "Ok, I know this is painful, but Angel was here for a while, lost his soul, got it back, came back, went to L.A. and since people liked him so much, he got his own show. Angel. That's it's name. Cordy went there and now she 'works' for him. Doyle....so sad, Doyle was with them, a messenger and he got killed. He was in love with Cordy and didn't tell her so or that he was half demon until just before he went to save some halfbreeds. It was so sad. Now everyone is writing telling Joss Wheaton to bring him back. Joss created the shows. He's cool, he owns you all. Anyways, back to fic. I read alot of fic with really unconventional couples. Strange ones that aren't really even close to being togather on the show. Well, I guess. Like some people do Spike/Buffy, but I think that's just wrong. So nasty." Buffy and Spike looked like they agreed. But the next comment brought gasps, two glares and a blush to the room."But, see now, Spike/Willow, that's a different story. SO cute. I can so see you togather."She smiled. "What??"Buffy glared at Spike. "Don't even think about it." "Ok, so Buffy is the not-so-understanding best friend." Wendy commented. "What?" "Well, everyone is like 'maybe Buffy will be the understanding friend and so they write you as that, and then there are others who are like, 'no, she'll freak out and try to kill Spike' so they write it like that. But I like the fics with happy endings. I only read those mostly unless their really good. There are some that are just too cool!" she smiled at the group trying to process that information. This was going to take a while. Two days later and alot of yelling, laughing and questions later, the group was finally satisfied. Wendy sat at Giles looking out the window at the people walking by. It was day and Spike was asleep on the couch. Willow and Buffy were doing to campus school thing. Xander and Anya were at Xander and Wendy gave then explicit instructions NOT to tell her what they were going to do. They still had no idea what had happened to her. She sighed, resting her forehead against the glass. A tear rolled down her cheek and she closed her eyes. She missed her family and her friends. She missed Cally. The girl who had made her so happy by handing her a friendship that outdid any other. Someone to be there for her and now, she was gone. All of it was gone and she was in some strange world where everything was so different. Demons, vamps, creepy-crawlies existed. Willow said that she checked it out and that none of her wiccan spells came to that. She was stuck. She rarely slept, seeing the moment of her death over and over again. The group had become her friends now and she was staying with Giles on the couch until she figured out something. Spike had taken her advice, amazingly, and had bought an apartment. He was a friend as well, though he wouldn't admit it. After the fanfic talk, he and Willow had taken a good look at each other, then shook their heads and walked away. Willow was with Tara and she was fine with that. Spike was single, but that would take forever to get anywhere with him, so she spent her time remembering her past, writing it down and writing songs. She had always wanted to be a writer and here was her chance. Writing her life, a life that now seemed as real as a dream. She was never sure of anything... but she was here now. That's what mattered. She was going to be just fine and learn to live here in this world. Yes, everything was going to be....ok. She smiled a little. Images drifted over her mind. Herself. Her new friends. Her old friends. Her family. And again, herself, at the window, looking down on a world that had wonders yet to be explored. She sighed. ***************** The casket lowered slowly into the ground as the minister spoke his words of god and laying another good soul to rest. One of 187. A woman with dark hair cried softly as her husband held her. A girl of 19 stood with her long blond hair waving in the wind, watching as the box sunk deep into the earth. A sparce of dirt was tossed on top of the casket and single roses tossed softly into the precipace. The husband and wife stayed a little, then left, mourning the loss of thier daughter. The dirt was filled in swiftly and the man left, dragging the shovel away. The young girl nodded to her father as he told her something, then walked off to his car. She stood there, a lone girl, mourning over the loss over her best friend. She looked up at the picture mounted above the fresh grave. The dark haired girl smiled back at her happily and she couldn't stop smiling back as the tears continued to fall. Kneeling down, she placed a single white rose on the soft settling dirt, then stood, leaning over and kissing the picture of her friend on the cheek. Wiping a tear, she smiled softly. "I'll miss you Wen. You know I'll always be here if you ever need anyone to haunt. I love you...goodbye." she whispered the last and turned, leaving the grave of her friend. The picture now stood alone in the empty graveyard, a young darkhaired girl smiling back at the world as happy as in a fairytale. Written below her picture were the words: Wendeline Rose Conner 1981-2000 We'll miss you always. Caring Friend and daughter. Never to be forgotten. END sequal? Yes? No?
