How Mysterious!
Mischievious Phantoms At Work
* * *
A raven flew galliently through the sky. Its heart was falling
weak. It searched for a place to perch. It soared overhead and
nearly hit Lina's head. She dodged it but just barely. "Damn
birds," Lina muttered. It was a peaceful day, sunny, warm, yet a small
gentle breeze blew across the plains making the day extra comfortable.
The raven was about the most wildest thing that happened that day.
Amelia, Gourry, and Lina laid lazililly staring at the sky on the soft
grass. Zelgadis of course wasn't so easilly comforted and instead he
was on a nearby cliff doing strange calculations.
Normally, the summer was harsh and made everyone weak and
hot, however this summer was gentle and wasn't too hot. Suddenly,
Lina heard a sound from the trees behind them. See looked to the
cliff to see if Zel was still there to make sure it was him. It
wasn't; he was still on the cliff, but he was sitting down and shaking
as if something scared the hell out of him. Lina immeadiatly got
up and prepared herself for battle. The other two stood in wonder
of what Lina was doing. Out of nowhere, someone dressed in all
black ran out of the brush, jumped over Lina, onto her head, then kept
running. "OH HO! So you want to play it that way and then just run?!
Not a chance, buddy!!!" Lina screamed as she started running after
the person. Gourry followed and Amelia went after Zel.
Lina stopped when the person swung upside down from a tree and
nearly headbutted her. The person swung off the branch and looked at
Lina. Lina realized she didn't see any identifying marks whatsoever
on this person. They wore a black shirt, black pants, black shoes, black
gloves, a black cape, and a black hood covered their face, while
sunglasses covered the eyes. "Okay, you! Who are you and what the
hell is your problem?!" she questioned the mysterious person. They
shrugged and turned to run but Lina grabbed the cape. "I don't
think so! You best answer me or you'll be at the wrong side of a
fireball!" The person just raised a gloved hand and shook their
finger 'no', then tore loose and shot into the woods. Lina just watched
him go. Gourry came up behind Lina and asked, "Who was that?"
"Good question," Lina muttered.
The group came together and headed back to camp. When they
made it back Lina got super pissed when she heard a noise in the trees
again. "Ho ho! Not this time!" Lina cackled as she hurled a huge
fireball into the trees. Instead of the person in black, Xellos
popped out screaming, running in circles, then he sat down to extinguish
the flames on his butt. "I-I-Ideo! (O-O-Ouch!)" he muttered rubbing
his butt. "Xellos! You're alive?! How?! I thought you died with Dolphin
with that- that..." Lina sputtered out. "Hm? Iie. That blonde girl came
back and teleported me out of there. I had some buissness to
settle with my master. It seemed that Dolphin wasn't supposed to be
there obviously... So don't ask me any questions. All I know is, my
master sent me to go talk with you people. Dolpin wasn't on my
schedule. So I'm just in the dark as much as you guys are."
"Oh. Hey, Xellos, did you see that person in all black?" Lina
asked. "Hm... Actually, yes, I did. What of him?" "That's a guy?"
"Well, to tell the truth, I'm not sure..." He scratched the
back of his head. "I assume that's a man. However, on my way to find
you, there I saw him. He stood staring at me for a moment, then he
took off. I tried to keep up with him but all the trees were in
the way. He jumped over them quickly, almost like he knew where every
single tree was. So he finally outsped me and it seems he ran into you."
"So you don't know anything about that girl then-_-?" Lina
asked. "Not a thing..." Xellos responded. Amelia and Zel exchanged
confused looks. "Well, that's no good," Lina muttered. "Well,
you coming with us, Xellos? We're on our way to an inn in town."(Try
saying that ten times fast! '^_^) "Nah, I have some buissness to
attend to... Ja-ne!" Xellos said, teleporting. No one knew what he
meant by 'bussiness to attend to', however, what he was going to do,
wasn't buissness at all.

Around a mountain, the sky seemed to be speckled gold and black,
for swarms of dragons filled the air; Filia was one of them. She flew
galliently through the sky. Filia was thrilled at her new position in
the world of the dragon. She was no longer a high priestess of
golden dragons but she was now going to be corrinated to Queen of the
Golden Dragons. She smiled as she flew towards the Kingsmon Temple
(corrinating place of the dragons). She had to be prepared early,
before everyone started coming.
An hour later, dragons of many sizes and shapes came flying
into the temple to witness the corrination. The high priest of all
dragons was present and he would be doing the corrination.
All became silent when Filia entered the room. There wasn't a single
sound, not even Filia's footsteps could be heard as she made her way
up to the alter. (That was the corrination rules. It had to be silent.)
Suddenly, as quickly as the silence came, it disciplated. CRUNCH!!!
silence... CRUNCH!!! silence again... Filia stopped and looked around
the auidience to see who it was making the noise. CRUNCH!!!
It was actually Xellos, munching on potato chips as loud as
he could. He was up on a vacant balcony, where no one could see him.
He smirked in spite of himself. Another potato chip... CRUNCH!!! Filia
began walking again. Everyone bore a sweat drop as she approached the
alter finally, with the sounds of crunching with her every step. Xellos
looked at the bag and there wasn't any chips left. Filia let a sigh
of relief as now it was quiet. Xellos wasn't going to give up so easilly.
He began coughing loudly. Filia hunched over and turned once again
to see who the perpatraiter was. Xellos fell short of breath so he
stopped. The high priest began the ritual.
Xellos teleported to the left side of the alter, by the
wall in the shadows. He threw a rock at the high priest. He stopped
speaking and everyone gasped. Then he threw another at Filia. She tried
to ignore it. When Xellos saw this, he giggled to himself and threw
more. Filia kept dodging them, moving as less as possible, until
WHAM!!! She got smaked right in the head by one. The high priest began
again, but this time he was reading as fast as he could. He didn't
care if anyone understood, he just wanted to get over with it. After
he finished, Xellos began screaming, "BOOOOO!!!" The high priest
quickly grabbed the red sword of the Astral, and he placed it on
Filia's shoulder. He said the holy sayings that would make her the
Queen. She glew a brillient red a moment then she was back to her
original color.
"Now you're Queen of the Golden Dragons, congrats!" he
said bluntly, leaning over to her ear. He then wispered, "Find
that son-of-a-bitch and fry like bat out of hell! Got me?" She nodded
slightly. Xellos smiled feeling rather proud of himself as he was
about to teleport away, but the person in all black tackled him. They
started punching each other and wrestling, completly unaware a pissed
off Filia was behind them. The person in black saw her shadow when "he"
was on top of Xellos and was strangling him, while Xellos had a hold
of "his" arm and was about to break it. The person turned and saw
Filia. "Well, well, well... two little mischievious phantoms we have
here!" she growled, fire spouting from her nose. The person pointed at
Xellos then got up and ran, leaving Xellos vunerable to Filia to kill
him...

Back at the inn, Lina and Gourry were having... "fun".
Xellos lurked in the shadows, silently giggling, watching the two
"wrestle" naked. Lina snapped strait up and she turned to her side then
she growled, "WHO'S THERE?!!!" Xellos slowly came only letting enough
light on his face so she would know. "I have a nickname we can call
that mysterious, mischeivious person in black... Mystrivious...
Strange name, yes, I know. It's mysterious and mischeivious
together," Xellos said. "Why do you say that?" Lina asked humoring
herself. Slowly, he stepped forward revealing more light on himself.
He was all battered up. His clothes were burnt and shredded; he had
two black eyes; and there many little cuts and bruises all over him.
"Just because..." he muttered. In a sense, Lina felt rather happy to
meet this "Mystrivious". Maybe "he" wasn't all that bad after all.
