When "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" first came out as a movie, I fell completely in love. It was one of the greatest movies I now own. Then, years later, when the television show came out, I thought to myself, 'It's never going to be as great as the origional'. How wrong I was. BTVS, as we fans so lovingly call it, has come to be one of the single greatest television shows I have seen in all of my lifetime, however short those 18 years may seem. As I began to get more and more into the show, almost missing out on seeing it at all due to my skepticism, I found the characters and plots to be some of the most creative I have ever watched. The idea that so much can happen everywhere and noone even knows about it intrigued me. Joss' mind created this wonderful world where a regular highschool girl was transoformed into one of the most admirable Slayers in history. Her watcher one of the smartest and best training. Her two friends turned from extrodinary, one becoming a most powerful Witch and the other taking his bravery to astounding heights. Along the way we met some incredible characters, vampires, demons, ex-demons, witches, you name it, it was there. And this creativity and fiction mixed with such colorful fact created a wonderful setting for a great show. Throughout the show, every plot we could conceive has been examined and used to delight and enjoy us, as well as bring tears and a saddening pain to our hearts. It truely brought out the 'human' in all of us. And so, in saying this very, very fond Farewell, we wish the cast and crew of Buffy the Vampire Slayer a wonderful life and many thanks. But our thanks most of all goes to Joss Whedon for his creative inspiration that has fueled all our interest in the show and "Angel".
Heroic efforts that have saved the world so very many times, and a good friend will be missed. Survived by Dawn Summers, sister. We'll miss you , Sarah!
