Strangers-PART TWO (non-lemon)

The next morning Lina caught Anya on her way to the springs and offered to tell her all about last night there.

"Wow, oh, my god, Anya! Look at you!" Lina gasped when Anya took off her shirt.

"What?"

"Your skinny!!" Lina cried.

"What?!" Anya ran to the edge of the pond and gasped. She was half the size she was origionally. A giant smile spread across her face, and she slipped into the water, contented.

Lina followed, and Anya turned to her with an evil smile.

"Well, how was he?"

Lina was so energetic. "AMAZING!" she waved her arms in the air. "He said he loves me too!"

"That's great!" The girls laughed.

Amelia slid into the hot springs beside them.

"So, what'd ya talking about?" Amelia smiled and floated to the other two girls. Lina turned red.

"She got laid last night." Anya said, recieving a smack over the back of the head.

"Hey! Don't make me call Zel out here!" Anya threatened.

"Do and I'll fireball you!!" Lina laughed, splashing water at Anya. In seconds, the two had emerged into an all out full-fledged war. Water splashed everywhere.

"So, that's what all that noise was!" Amelia laughed.

The other two girls abruptly stopped and looked at Amelia, then at each other nodding in agreement. They began plumetting Amelia with splashes who screamed and rebelled, splashing back at them. The girls were at war! Anya was loving this, until Xellos phased in above them.

"My, my isn't this attractive?"

The three girls screamed, covering themselves down into the water immediatly.

"Xellos, what the hell are you doing here?!" Lina prepared a fireball.

"Yare, Yare, Lina-san, calm down. This is important. I need to speak with Anya. Now."

"Xellos, this is not the time-" Anya began.

"You have to leave."

The group went silent.

"What?" Anya almost whispered it. She nodded.

"Meet me at the large willow tree by the road as soon as you finish dressing." he said, then phased out.

"Leave?" Anya was in shock as Xellos leaned up against a tree.

"Yes, I am aftaid so."

"What do you mean? Leave the group, leave Zelgadis-"

"Leave this world."

Anya's mouth stood open. "no..."

"I am afraid Zelas-sama is not too fond of you. You came in without her permission and she didn't take to that too lightly."

"BUT I NEVER MEANT TO COME HERE! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET BACK!!"

Xellos sighed. "Zelas has given me the power to send you back."

Anya fell to her knees. "But Zelgadis-"

"I'm sorry. You have three days to ready yourself." Then he phased out.

Zelgadis found her half-an-hour later, on the ground, on her knees, sobbing.

He immediatly rushed to her side and held her. "Anya, what's wrong?"

Anya looked at him with sad eyes. She couldn't tell him. She couldn't.... She broke free of his grasp and ran off towards the caves near the springs.

"Anya!" Zelgadis began to follow.

Xellos phased in next to him. Zelgadis grabbed his collar and held him up in the air.

"What the hell did you do to her?!!"

Xellos phased away and beside him, erecting a barrier for his own safety. "Zelas-sama did it. Not me. She has ordered her to leave this world. I am sorry Zelgadis-san. I didn't want this. But I am Zelas' servant and I can only deliver the message." he lowered his head and phased out, but from astral space, said, " Go to her, Zelgadis-san. She needs you now."

Zelgadis had a thought that maybe the priest actually cared, then sprinted off in Chimeric speed down the path, following her trail into the caves. He stopped just outside the caves. Slowly he entered, following the footprint trail she had left.

He saw her huddled away from him in a corner. She was crying. He lifted her to stand by him, and wrapped his arms tenderly around her. She grabbed him and cried into his chest.

"I don't want to leave. I don't." She mumbled into his shirt.

"I don't want you to go, either." he whispered, stroking her hair gently.

Carefully, he leaned down and picked the weak girl up, carrying her out of the caves.

Zelgadis sat against a tree with Anya in his lap, hugging to him, crying still. It had been hours and he had, too, cried off and on. All the rest of the group could do was watch and the girls cried, too. Noone said anything.

About two hours later, Anya stood up and glanced down at Zel. He looked up at her concerned. Then she looked at the group and back at him. She extended her hand.

"Anya?" he questioned, but took her hand and stood, gazing into her eyes softly. He got her request.

"We'll be back in a little while." he said softly, wrapping her in his arms to hug her, while looking at the group.

They nodded and he walked holding her away. Lina understood what was happening. She wanted to spend some time alone with him, so they could spend endless minutes in each others eyes. It was beautiful, but sad.

Anya led Zelgadis to a small nearly pond, her head down the entire time. When she stopped, she turned to him, and looked up into his eyes, running her hands, or trying to, through his hair, pulling him down to kiss her. Zelgadis held her tightly around the waist and kissed her more feircly, letting his love show through that.

Anya pulled back for breath, and for the first time in a few hours, spoke. "I'm not going to be here much longer. I only have three days, but in those three days, I want us to be as close as possible. Emotionally, Spiritually....and physically." She whispered looking over to the pond.

Zel followed her gaze and understood perfectly.

Zelgadis gasped for breathe, laying down on the ground to catch himself.

Anya rolled over toward him, laying her head on his chest and sighing, holding him tightly.

"I love you, Zelgadis. I always will."She whispered.

"I love you, too." He smiled, hugging her tighter. "Only you. Forever." he mumbled.

Anya began to humm and Zel smiled feeling the tune vibrate his skin.
"What are you humming?"
"Our song."
"ah. It's beautiful."
"I know."
"I have never been so content." Zel sighed.
"Zelgadis?"
"Hmm?"
"Are we ever going to see each other again?"

Zelgadis sighed, almost crying and sat up, looking into her eyes. "I don't know, sweetie. I just don't know."
Anya's face faultered and Zel quickly wrapped her up in a tight embrace.

Three hours later, Zelgadis and Anya joined the group. Almost nothing was said. A word or phrase here or there, but no conversation.
Anya stopped the group. "This is ridiculus! I have two and a half days here! Why the hell are we all sad?? I know I'm leaving, but show me a good time before I go, man! I mean, let's party."

She smiled for the first time that day. The others smiled and laughed and the girls broke off, lauging and running down the road like little girls, chatting about what they were going to do.

Zelgadis, Gourry and Xellos hung in back, watching the girls in amusement. Anya smiled at Zelgadis every now and then.

"Hey, let's do Karaoke!" Anya laughed as she walked backwards in the chatting group of girls.
"What?"
"Karaoke! It's where you sing! Just for fun. You pick out a funny song and sing it and act as dumb as you can! I'm sure they have a bar in the next town that we could do it in!"
Amelia laughed. "Ok! What song are you gonna do?"
Anya stopped and thought, then laughed. "THE MAMMAL SONG! HAHHHAH"
"The what?" Lina laughed.

"The mammal song. I'll sing it at the next town. YOu'll crack up laughing! It's so funny! And I'll bet you that most the men will turn red!"
"Cool!' Lina giggled.

Sure enough, the town did have a bar...a club actually with lights and music and a karaoke and all. Anya got in line for her turn and waited for it to come. When it did, she climbed up on the stage and laughed, catching everyone's attention.

"Ok! I have a really funny song, so you ARE supposed to laugh. Those with weak hearts about sex....LEAVE heheheheh."

Zelgadis turned red and almost sunk down in his seat.

Anya picked out the tune, which was almost the exact tune to the song and people got out and started to dance, laughing at the lyrics when she sang. Lina and Amelia almost wet their pants because she was dancing freaky, jumping, and making motions for almost every phrase in the song.

Everyone was up and dancing, especially Lina and Amelia. Anya jumped down to join them

Once the next three songs were up, Anya waved to the other two and plopped down next to Zelgadis, thowing her head back and sweating wildly. She rolled her head to see Zel arching a brow at her. She laughed and crawled up into his lap.

"Hey sweetie."

"hhhhhhhhhhi....." he gave her a wierd look, then cupped her chin, kissing her.
