Dear Gmork, The book is called Seiran Den, it's the sixth of the Fushigi Yuugi Gaiden novels. If you can read Japanese, buy it from Sasuga Books, or there is a partial translation on the web. It describes in detail Nakago and Soi's pasts. The horrible past does, in fact, involve the emperor, but there's a lot more to it than what you saw in the anime... As for me, I love the Chinese opera, so I'd do that! Tomo |
