Dear Amiboshi, Please tell Keisei it wasn't like that! She was too careing! She'd never have been happy being what we'd turned into! The Gate Guardians used to be noble, peaceful people, the protectors of the levels of reality. Over the centuries, we battled many enemies from beyond the darkness, those not of this, or any, dimenion. They tried to destroy us, and many of them succeded, killing many of our best. Our honor ended when the first Guardian of the LifeGate found the power to kill. She destroyed all of our enemies, but more came, and she became bloodthirsty and whicked. She had turned to darkness. We were forced to destroy one of our own. Keisei is the next guardian of the LifeGate. When new takes over from the old, their powers and skills are passed on. I couldn't take the risk that she could inherit that love of blood, of war... I didn't want us to have to destroy her, like we did her predisessor. Not until our battles are finally over and the golden millennium is restored. I made a promis that our children would never have to face that kind of battle. Dear Amiboshi, She must have not told you the whole story! We were friends at the beginning, but not realy, she was my instructor. I kept steady progress in my guardian training, she never gave me one word of praise or congratulate me for finishing her assignmemnts, even though they were WAY harder than any of the ones she gave to her other student, Dark Lady Charrion. One day, she decided I wasn't worth the effort, so she dismissed me from her presence. I went to Lord Nikos for my training, but he could tech me little more than Karika had, so I went to this realm to see if i could learn here. I became a shrinemaiden to Taiitsu Kun, and I actually started to enjoy myself here, and since Karika had me banished from the academy, I started to think about maybe staying here, and forgetting my past as a guardian. She came back when she learned that I was in this realm, she came to get rid of me. I survived, and Lord Nikos said that for defending this world, I was upgraded in my guardian state. I hot an assignment to get rid of a spirit that escaped and fled here. She sent her lacky Charrion here to beat me to it! There's more to this ghost thing, but you might not want to know.
