Dear Soi, Hi! I really, really need some advice. You see, I have this friend. Only sometimes she's kinda annoying, because she calls me everyday! Sometimes she calls up very early in the morning, and sometimes, very late at night. I told my mom about it, and she said, I should be glad someone took the time to call me. I appreciate it, but I need some privacy sometimes. And I don't stay up too late or wake up too early. Plus, sometimes my family needs to make important calls. Dear crystal_tiara17,     First of all, I will say that I believe honesty is the best policy in all things. Tell you friend that you need some time to yourself, so would she mind not calling as often. If she's a real friend, she'll understand and get over it. I'm not certain about your little sister problem; just remain firm and ignore her if she annoys you too much. Now for the most serious problem...I'm not knowledgeable on such matters myself, so I spoke to a friend of mine, and this is what she told me: "If you feel that you are already getting enough exercise (30 minutes a day of aerobic exercise is considered more than sufficient unless you are in training) then your mother is being very unreasonable by forcing you to do more than that. The fact of the matter is, she is seriously endangering your health with these forced diets; at your age, you need to concentrate on eating *healthy* food in sufficient qualities, or your growth will be stunted. It's good to cut down on potato chips and fast food hamburgers, but you still need to take in sufficient calories to run your metabolism. Crash diets also do not work, at all. Any weight that you take off with them will come back almost immediately. The fact of the matter is that some people will never be "slim"; some of us have larger bone structures or are simply large by nature, and no amount of starvation will turn us into anything but large skeletons. It's possible to still be a very healthy person and wear size 16 or 18 pants...and healthy is what matters, not some unreasonable expectation of an ideal weight. "The best advice I can give is to go to a counselor or nurse if your school has one, and tell them the problem. If that's not an option, you need to go to a doctor...they have far more knowledge when it comes to determining if you need to lose weight, and they would be able to put you on a healthy diet that involved enough food to run your metabolism on. (Though I really doubt a doctor would feel you needed to be on a diet.) As long as you're maintaining a healthy lifestyle, you shouldn't need to be on a diet or obsess about weight. It's not like you're morbidly obese - trust me, if you can ride a bike and play sports, you're not. Dear Nakago, Konnichi wa, Nakago-sama *bows deeply*(Heh, I can't ever show too much respect, now can I?) Alright. First off, just a few comments about Blue Eyes...Blue. Personnally, I don't really mind it all that much. In fact, I kinda like it! What I definitely love about it, though, are the lyrics. Very beautiful lyrics. Secondly, I've been in quite the dilemma for some time now. You see, there have been some... nasty things that have happened to me in the past, and I've remained marked, of course. For instance, I had thought about suicide for a little while. I'm thankful I didn't do it now. That mostly being for my finally realizing that the people who had insulted me on a practically dauily basis were not very wise in doing so, to put it lightly. To this day, though, I still can't figure out just why I seem to be rather numb to emotions. By that, I simply mean that when I seem to be expressing emotion, I'm really only reacting in that manner because my brain is telling me to react in that way. I don't really know what to believe... I mean, whether I simply decided! not to confront the full weight of my emotins directly, or if I simply didn't really care, and decided to move on as though nothing serious had happened. If you could give me some advice or thoughts, I would be greatly honored. Arigatou for whatever you may offer. *bows respecfully again* Now, off I go to write more fanficiton!
