Trivia

Bulma

Bulma Briefs is one of the most important non-fighting DBZ characters. She is a certified genius, being the son of Dr. Briefs, who owns a company called Capsule Corporation. She is very important in the beginning of Dragonball, and remains a somewhat major character throughout the series. She is almost completely responsible for Vegeta's turn to a full fledged good guy.

She is introduced in the first episode of Dragon Ball. She hits Gokou with a car when he is walking home after fishing. She tells Gokou she is searching for the Dragon Balls and came because she detected one near his house. Gokou refuses to give up his Dragon Ball because he believes it contains his Grandfathers soul. So, Bulma and Gokou go out and search for the rest of the Balls together. Throughout the entire series of Dragon Ball, Bulma plays an important role in many fights, such as the fight against the Red Ribbon Army (primarily the funny sequence against Sergeant Blue, who turns out to be gay). She also is constantly fulfilling Kame Sennin's perverted pleasures. In fact, Bulma might even be considered a sex symbol in Dragon Ball. At the end of Dragonball, Bulma is sporadically dating Yamucha.

In Dragonball Z, when the gang has to go to Namek for the Dragonballs, Bulma has to accompany Gohan and Kulilin because she is the one who has to learn to fly the ship. When on Namek, Gohan and Kulilin leave her by herself constantly and is extremely depressed the entire time. She is the main character in a couple horribley boring filler episodes. Basically she shows up every once in a while, which is really frustrating, considering she's always popping up in the middle of a cool fight or something. Anyway, she gets back on Earth and dates Yamucha. 3 years after Trunks came, the Z senshi meet up to fight the androids. Well, Bulma shows up too so she can see the androids. We find out that she had broken up with Yamucha, but she had a baby. We later find out the baby is named Trunks and is the son of Vegeta.

In the Buu saga, Bulma is very stressed. When Vegeta kills the people at the budokai, she is deeply saddened that Vegeta returned back to his old, evil self. When she finds out Vegeta is dead, she is hysterical. She is killed by Buu just like pretty much everyone else in the world, but is wished back shortly thereafter.

In DBGT, Bulma's role once again gains more importance, as she does things such as becoming possessed by Baby or creating the Super Brute Wave Generator, which allows Vegeta to go Super Saiyan 4.
