Chichi Chichi is the daughter of Gyuumaoh(Ox-King), and more importantly the husband of Son Gokou and father of Son Goten and Son Gohan. She is a nice lady basically, but extremely over protective and downright scary to most characters of the show at times. One thing i'd like to get across, is the reason she seems like a bitch at times, is because she loves her family a lot, but that side of her is so deeply hidden away that she usually seems simply self-centered. Early in Dragon Ball, Gokou is asked by Gyuumaoh to find Chichi and to take her to Kame Sennin's place to borrow an item called the Bashousen, which will allow Gyuumaoh to put out the fire surrounding his castle, where one of the Dragonballs is located. Gokou finds Chichi and together on the Kintoun, they fly to Kame Sennin's. While flying, Gokou does his patented "pan-pan" on Chichi. (Basically slapping a person in the crotch to determine whether that person is a he or a she.) This results in Chichi getting the idea that she must marry this man who touched her crotch. Later on she makes Gokou promise to come get her as a bride when they're both grown. Unfortunately Gokou mistook the word "bride" as some kind of a food and agreed. Many years later at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai, Chichi fights Gokou and after revealing her identity to Gokou, she gets him to marry her immediately. After the fight against Ma Junior (Piccolo) and 5 years later, DBZ starts. She and Gokou has a 4 year old son named Gohan. She forces him to study all the time, and doesn't allow him to train at all. She's got this twisted idea that Gohan's studying is more important than the fate of the world, and this often gets in the way of Gohan's training/funtime. She is very overprotective of Gohan, but not that much with Goten. She pampers him, but doesn't keep him from training, and actually teaches him martial arts herself. Chichi never really plays a big role in DBZ, and as far as I know, even less of a role in DBGT. Inspite of everything, all the things that happen, she always forgives Gokou. |
