Saachirou Saachirou, or Guru as he is known in the English dub, is the Namek Elder. He is father to all the Namek-seijins, and highly respected and loved by all of them. He has the ability to bring forth a persons hidden power, and does this to Kuririn and Gohan, and gives Dende the ability to heal people. In the time we known him, he is very old and weak, and dying. When Gohan and Kuririn are making wishes using the Namek Dragon Balls, Saachirou dies of natural causes. Since his death was sped up by his stress from Freezer, he is able to be wished back, by Sheng Long. He helps orchestrate the wishes on Namek, and he is moved to Earth while Gokou and Freezer battle it out. He hands down his position as elder to Moori, right before he dies. When he dies, the only person that doesn't cry is Vegeta. Even Piccolo sheds tears, because of the Nail in him. He is an extremely important character in the Freezer saga. |
