Trunks Trunks is the son of Vegeta and Bulma, so he's half Saiya-jin. There are 2 versions of Trunks. Chibi Trunks, who is the Trunks in the normal timeline, and Mirai no Trunks, who comes from the future. Future Trunks is a polite and soft-spoken young man, and Chibi Trunks, he's kind of a brat, not really, but he's completely different than Future Trunks. His story is one of the more complicated aspects of Dragonball Z. So heeeeeere we go.... Trunks shows up to the DBZ timeline were most familiar in a time machine with to warn Son Gokou and the other Z Senshi of incredibley strong androids who are to come in 3 years. He 17 years old and is from 20 years in the future. He explains to him 20 years from now, he is the only fighter left. They are all killed by the androids. He tells Gokou that he doesn't even get a chance to fight them, because he dies of a heart disease, that is uncurable(is that a word? probably not.complain about it and i'll snap your stupid neck) at the time but there is a cure in Trunks time. Trunks give Gokou medecine, and asks them to train to save the future. Trunks returns to his time. When 19 and 20 arrive, Trunks returns to the our timeline. He notices that this time is very different from his time, and that in his time the androids are different. There is no 19, 20, or 16. This is extremely complicated, so bear with me.(I understand it perfectly, but it's difficult to put into words). Okay...there are 3 timelines. the regular timeline, Trunks timeline(Z senshi dead, like i explained in the previous paragraph), and a 3rd one. In the third one, Trunks is about to go into his time machine, and first stage Cell kills him and goes to the future in his egg form(nobody knows about this timeline yet). When Trunks gets to the regular time, a Capsule Corp time machine is discovered. He, Gohan and his mother Bulma go check it out. The discover it in woods, covered in moss, appearing to be extremly old. It is the same one Trunks used, but his time machine is still in its capsule. He knows his mother only built 1 time machine. In the time machine, they find an empty broken eggshell and the top is burned off. A little ways away, they discover what they decide to be a shed skin, of whatever came from the egg. The thing that came from this egg, is what we know as Cell. Cell gets to strong for them, so Vegeta and Trunks enter the Room of Spirit and Time. When they're done, they go to fight second stage Cell(Cell combined with Juunangou). Vegeta beats the shit out of him. Cell tell Vegeta that he could win if he had his perfect form. Since Vegeta's a prick, he tells him he'll allow him to get his perfect form. Trunks tries to stop him, but can't. Cell absorbs 18 and Trunks tries to stop the transformation, but to no avail. Vegeta gets the crap kicked out of him, and it's Trunks' turn to fight. Trunks didn't help his dad, because he knew how mad he would be if he knew he was stronger than him, because of all his pride. Kururin takes Vegeta away after he is unconscious, and Trunks starts powering up. He reaches a level no one else reached yet, Ultimate Super Saiya-jin. Cell says that Trunks is stronger than him, but he'll never beat him. USSJ slows him down too much. He can't touch Cell. Trunks knows he beaten, so gives up, telling Cell to kill him. Cell doesn't and comes up with the Cell Game now. At the Cell Game, Trunks doesn't get involved. When Cell makes his Cell Jrs, Trunks can barely hold his own against them. After Gokou teleports Cell away and they think they've won, a whole bunch of smoke comes up out of nowhere, and a shot comes out, killing Trunks dead. Vegeta goes nuts at this. Gohan kills Cell, and Trunks is wished back almost immediately. He returns to the future, and is now strong enough to kill his timelines androids and Cell. He does so, making peace for his time too. In the Buu saga, Trunks is born in the regular timeline. He's 8 years old and is best friends with Goten. He already has the ability to go Super Saiya-jin at age 8. He beats Goten in the finals, and wins the childrens Tenkaichi Budokai. When everyone leaves to fight Buu, they stay back. When they hear what was going on from Videl, they both go nuts. They want to fight Buu so much, because they love fighting strong opponents, just like their fathers. Shortly after they arrive, Trunks' father is fighting Buu. Vegeta decides he's going to sacrifice himself. He doesn't tell Trunks. He hugs him for the first time, and them knocks him out. Piccolo takes Trunks and Goten away, and Vegeta kills himself. Trunks is mad at Gokou, because he didn't help his father. He thinks Gokou is weak, and is nothing compared to his Dad. He isn't impressed by Gokou at all, until he goes SSJ3, when Trunks realizes Gokou is the strongest.Trunks learns fusion with the help of Gokou and Piccolo. He and Goten fuse into Gotenks, who fights Buu and nearly kills him because he can reach SSJ3, but the fusion expires. They fuse again later, but only to be absorbed. Trunks is rescued by Vegetto, but dies when the Earth explodes. He is wished back right away. In GT, Trunks is in his late 20's, and runs Capsule Corp. He is one of the main characters even though he's a homo. Haha. |
