Ah! My Goddess

Ah! My Goddess is a story about an unlikely Nekomi Tech College Freshman named Keiichi Morisato. One day, he stayed in his dorm to take messages because his senpais (mentor/social superiors) went out. During this time, he got hungry and called for take-out food, Unknown to him, he reaches the Goddess Line, and contacts a goddess named Belldandy who grants him a wish.

At first frightened and even suspicious at this goddess, he makes the wish that she would stay with him forever. At first he thought it was a joke when she accepted but he soon learns to love her. And Belldandy loves him as well. But alas, young love is never this easy. Keiichi is a shy boy who has never had a girlfriend before and Belldandy is just too demure, shy and naive to raise her courage to ask Keiichi. So the two had to be content with just sharing each others company, all the while facing animosity from other suitors of the beautious Belldandy, an evil demon named Mara and other obstacles such as Belldandy's older sister Urd (who tries to set them both up but seems to screw everything up) and Skuld, Belldandy's younger sister who at first had to compete fiercely with Keiichi for Belldandy's love and later on, falls in love with Keiichi herself (just a little).

So while this story has interesting diversions like a racing series (Keiichi is a member of the Nekomi Tech Auto Club), fights (Mara vs. the three sisters) and more fights (Urd vs. Skuld), one must remember that at the core of this charming series, is love. The Love between Keiichi and Belldandy. A willingness to sacrifice all they have to be together. A Love that has transcended time and memory to find Keiichi...Again...
