Mana and Shinji |
|
Well,
there are several reasons why I think these two make a very cute and cool
couple. Namely, they simply look adorable together. Image-wise, they seem
the most suited to be together. How could one not adore the sweet frilly
dress and hat she wears. And that scene where she haves tea with Shinji.
Such grace, manner and poise.
In the case of character and personality, I guess it wouldn't really matter or clash as a result. She's sedated, but not overly like Rei. She can be daring, but not as gregarious as Asuka. She tries to pry Shinji out of his shell. He certainly seems at ease with her. He even asked her out on a date! Somehow...I don't recall Shinji-kun asking Asuka or Rei out on a date. [note: I love all the characters in Neon Genesis Evangelion. I only have to make an exception for this web site so unless you're a blur block who can't read this, I shouldn't be expecting lame e-mails] Mana likes Shinji...maybe even love. She has even kissed Shinji. And he did it willingly. Not forced because someone was bored. Look below...
Suddenly it dawned on me, the two might even look alike. Mana's past is a mystery. No one knows much about her but she just appears one day in Shinonome High. For one thing, she's vibrant. In a positive way. For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo. ~ William S. Thus it came as a shock when I found out what happened to Mana in the end. That a life so young and sweet end so abruptly. No...she did not die. She merely disappeared. She, like Shinji, was a pilot of a giant mecha. It didn't appear very much to look like an Eva unit. More animal-like in its features. Mana and two other boys were chosen to pilot this horrendous looking mechanical object. It wasn't a choice, it was a command and an order. But then on the bright side, it too was aimed to stamping out the Angel existence. But I guess the image below is a lot more controversial than I would have expected. Mana is hugging her team mate. She's known him far longer than Shinji and has even been through thick and thin with him. But it doesn't really prove that she loves him. But from here you can also see that Shinji truly loves Mana from the way he stands...watching them. ::spoiler:: He refused to open fire on the non-humanoid mecha because he knew Mana was piloting it also. Isn't he sweet? Mana's fate as of now...no one truly knows. She is an angel...a heavenly creature. Sent from above to aid our poor pilot on Earth below. Mana Kirishima... owakare... aishiteru... |
