About the Russian Goddess
Profile: Out of all the characters in Sakura Wars 1 and 2, Maria is my favorite hands-down. (Well, Leni Milchstrassen of SW2 is a close second...) She was the leader of the Hanagumi in SW1, but quit in SW2, allowing Ichirou Oogami to take over. Her preferred weapon is a gun, and she's a dead shot. (Note: The bit about Kanna in the Loves/Loved by is there because I'm not sure about their, ahem, relationship, but I do know they're best friends.) Why is she my favorite?
1: The looks. Not only is she beautiful, she could pass for a RW/YST Date (hey, she's got the right hair color and style... *g*)
2: The way she fights. What can I say, I like guns. (In anime/manga, not RL!) Also, she's got a cool mecha. *g*
3: The skills. Dead shot with a gun, able to pilot one of the Hanagumi koubu, and a good leader.
4: The fashion sense. I'm a little dubious about the trenchcoat, but I like the rest of what I've seen her wear. (And the only reason I don't like the trenchcoat is because it's too puffy at the bottom. It's almost pear-shaped. If you can't see that, it looks good--usually.)
5: This may sound odd, but...The name. I'm not exactly sure about this, but I think an approximate translation (in Western order) is 'Bitter Sword Experience'. (Maria=Bitter, Tachi=Longsword, Banare=Experience) That just sounds interesting to me. *g*
