Untitled
I can feel you watching me
I whirl around
Still not fast enough
You're gone
Where you go, I do not know
But I know if I turn back around
You'll watch me again
I don't know who you are...yet
I know I will find out
Because you are what I want
What I've always wanted
I pray I'm not imagining you
Even though I know you're there
Why won't you let me see you?
Please tell me who you are
Maybe if I'm faster...
But no, I'll never be fast enough to see you
I look in a mirror as I walk on:
A crowd of people walking
Their indifferent stares
Boring through my eyes
Into my mind
I can't catch sight of you..
Or maybe or you're in that crowd
Which one?
Which one could you be?
None.
There's my answer.
I know in your eyes I'm not insignificant
You would never hide your feelings from me
Or anyone else..
Would you?
Again, I pray you're real
I pray you're watching me from behind
As I tear my gaze from the mirror
And I pray
If you're not really there
That someone out there is sending out the same prayer
And can become my 'you'

Note: This was my first try at free verse. I know, it sucked. Don't worry, I don't plan on doing free verse again. However, if on the rare chance you actually liked this, and want me to do more, you'll have to e-mail me so I'll know. Of course, that's just wishful thinking, so I'm just going to keep this up as a reminder to never do free-verse again.
