Waving in the somber air,
Our proud stars and stripes.
The flutter of the flag,
The only sound we hear.
No airplanes thunder overhead,
No children laugh and play,
A tragedy has claimed our joy today,
Death has claimed innocence.
So many crimes against us,
So many lost between,
An act of war, the government says,
We will bring justice.
You take our bombs,
Hijack our planes,
Kill our people,
But, why?
You say America is horrible,
You say we’re so bad,
But then, please, why don’t you answer this:
Where do your people go to for a better life?
The Red, White and Blue live on.
Amidst the ashes, our nation rises…
We are only getting stronger.
