Daisuke seems to have a little crush on Hikari. He is very jealous of her friendship with Takeru, because she pays more attention to Takeru than himself. Daisuke looks like the energetic type, ne? He was one of the children who witnessed the battle between Parrotmon and Greymon, and that is the reason he is a Chosen Child/DigiDestined.

In the second Digimon movie, when she was a little younger, she helped out the original DigiDestined in a fight on the internet against evil Digimon. That's how she was chosen. I've heard she can be a trouble maker at times, but other than that a prety mellow person.

He was one of the children brought before Myotismon when he was searching for the 8th child (Hikari). You won't see him in that episode though, because this was made up after that.
