Tales of Phantasia Characters
Here are some info on the characters, I don't have all the skills of Cless and Chester down yet so I can't really give info on the special techniques, but this page is just to give you an idea what the characters are like before you start the game.
Cless Alvien
He is the best character in the game because he's one of the fastest and also the strongest. He can equip: sword, spears, axes, heavy armor, and sheilds. Cless can also use combos. Just simply use your basic techniques often and when they reach 100% you can use the combos(Combos are in green).
Chester Barklight
Yay Chester! My favorite charater in the game, because he looks like Chichiri. Usually archers are pretty weak in games, but Chester is one of the best characters to have on your team. He's techniques (only available on PSX version) are about as strong as Cless's and sometimes even more useful. After you get him in the 2nd half of the game keep him in your team to level up. I recommend you take Klarth off the team.
Mint Adnade
Though Mint has a very annoying voice, can't attack, and gets killed easily it is important to have her on the team because she is the only healer in the game. She uses the rod and wears clothes (as in robes, I know "duh, of course she wears clothes" ><). Anywayz, always keep her away from the enemy and when you fight bosses make sure she's away from them so she can cast spells.
Klarth F Lester
Even though he has a nifty hat he becomes useless once you get Arche and reach the second world (Future). He's summon spells take up a lot of tp, but are quite effective in the beginning. For some reason I started using him like a fighter, he uses books to attack and they are pretty strong, also he gets to equip more rings then the other characters
Arche Klaine
My favorite female character in the game! I think I only like her cuz Chester has a crush on her o.o. She is The 2nd best character in the game! Her strongest spell can go up as high as 6000+ HP damage! Not to mention they don't waste as much TP as Klarth. Another good thing is that she's always floating, though against some bosses that is a disadvantage but most of the time no one can attack her while she's casting a spell. She uses brooms and wears light clothing.
Suzu Fujibayashi
Suzu is a great character, but you can only use her towards the end of the game making her useless (Sorta like Cloud in FFT). When you do use her though take advantage of her speed and the fact that she can attack from a distance (those nifty throwing knives). Suzu uses knives and wears special ninja gis.
