~Appearance~
Robin looks like an American. She has short, curly blond hair and bright
blue eyes. She is also small,
willowy, and has really fair skin which makes people compare her to a fragile
porcelain doll. She does not like
the comparision.
~Personality~
Robin an optimist and likes to believe that everybody will do the right
thing. She is very hard working,
intensely loyal, and will go out of her way to help most people.
She is extremely patient and great with children.
They seem to instinctively trust her.
~Biography~
Robin has had a very tough life. She was born in New England to a family
just barely scraping enough
together to survive. Her father worked two jobs while her mother
was pregnant, and as soon as she could, her
mother went to work to support the family, as well. Very early on,
Robin showed an aptitude for music, so her
father got her an old acoustic guitar, for her tenth birthday. She
spent every minute she could teaching herself
how to play it. Her neighbor, a music professor at the nearby college,
heard her play and persuaded her parents
to enroll her in the music Montessori school that was part of the campus.
Her family barely had enough for this,
and practically ate bread and water, so Robin could go. She showed amazing
abilities on almost every instrument,
but her love was with the harp and the guitar. She also studied Japanese
in her other classes. As soon as she
could, Robin took part-time jobs to help with the bills at home, with just
barely enough time to practice.
When she graduated from the Montessori school, she received an offer from
a Japanese school to
continue her studies. Robin and her family pooled together enough
money for registration and a one-way ticket
to Tokyo, Juuban. Before leaving, her mother gave her a small blue
and gold wand as a graduation present. She
went to the school, only to find that her registration had been lost in
the mail, and now it was too late to register.
Since she was stuck in Tokyo, with just her instruments and clothes she
decided to get a job and a place to stay.
Robin happened by a store called 'Colors of Life' with a "Help Wanted"
sign in the window. She entered the
store, inquired about the position, and was immediately hired by the owner,
Andrea.
~Equipment~
Nereid Wand:
This is Sailor Nereid's henshin wand. It is blue
and gold, with a music note on one side, and
the symbols for Neptune and the Moon superimposed
on the other.
Nereid Bass Staff:
This staff is made of rowan wood, giving it a
pure white appearance. It is five feet long, and
it has a small, eight string silver harp sitting
on the top.
Imagine something like Sailor Pluto's Staff.
Powers:
Nereid Siren Song Power, Make-up:
The move allows Robin to become Sailor Nereid.
Robin raises her wand, grasping the middle of it.
Two streams of energy flow from either end, forming
ribbons that look like music staffs.
These ribbons flare out, then fly back toward
Robin, wrapping around her and forming her fuku.
Her fuku colors are red collar and skirt with
light blue bows. Her boots look like Sailor Saturn's boots,
but they are red laced with light blue ribbons.
She has a red choker with
Sonic Stream:
This attack creates a sonic blast that Sailor
Nereid can direct. She points the top of
the Bass Staff at her target and utters, "Sonic
Stream!" The harp glows light blue and
releases a blast from top end.
Siren Call:
This attack allows Sailor Nereid to temporary
control any male in range.
However, females aren't affected by this unless
they are lesbian.
Sailor Nereid starts singing and playing the
harp, while focusing on her target.
As long as Sailor Nereid keeps singing, she can
suggest actions to her target in the song.
She can't force the target to harm themselves
or do anything against their beliefs.
Example:
Sailor Nereid could force Nephlite to attack Zoicite,
but she could not force Malachite to do the same.
If she stops, her target is no longer under her
control and can't be controlled for at least a week.
This move weakens Sailor Nereid greatly, and
she collapses soon after finishing her song.
Lullaby Calm:
This move allows Sailor Nereid to put a target
to sleep. She whispers "Lullaby..." and faces the target,
with an arm raised to the eye-level of the target.
She slowly lowers her arm while whispering "...Calm."
The target tends to collapse, and they will falle
asleep for anywhere from six to eight hours.
If they're really powerful the target may wake
up after only being asleep three hours
Shatter Song:
This move allows Sailor Nereid to shatter one
non-living, non-magical object.
She grabs the Bass Staff as if playing a guitar,
and strums it once, while saying, "Shatter Song!"
The sound waves from the harp continue the vibrate
until the object that Sailor Nereid is targeting shatters.
Songbird Symphony:
The move allows Sailor Nereid to temporarily
create up to twenty songbirds made from pure energy.
This move begins when Sailor Nereid reaches toward
the ground and singing, "Songbird...."
Her hand glows light blue, and she sweeps her
hand through the air, creating a light blue arch in the air.
"...Symphony!" and the arch breaks into beautiful
blue glowing songbirds. These birds are always under
Sailor Nereid's power, and will do anything she
asks from delivering a written message or attacking
an enemy as a distraction. In addition, these
birds can act as amplifiers for Sailor Nereid's attacks.
These birds are always songbirds; usually nightingales,
robins, jays, and sparrows.
