Once again, if you don't like The original series with episode, after episode of enemy attacks, scouts defeat, then I can assure you that you will not like this series. But again, it is better. This time around there are new bad guys, (not as good in my opinion,) a new plot, (but mostly remains the same,) and even some new scouts, with sweet attacks. The Story follows, our beloved scouts in an absent minded battle against a mad scientist, and his group of heart-snatchers. By collecting heart crystals, this mad scientist is hoping to power-up a super evil presence to .... you guessed it, TAKE OVER THE WORLD! Does he do it, well, you'll have to watch to find out.
I believe the animation was very different in this series. The characters look very clean, as well as everything else. There is a huge difference between R, and S. A lot bigger difference than the one between The first SM, and the R Series. One of the best animation differences is in the transformation scenes, and the attack sequences. (Especially the Outer-Senshi!) Over all, The animation is probably the huggest difference in the Sailor Moon series thus far.
Once Again, the characters are one of the greatest aspects of the show. But this time around there are a whole slew of new characters and villens. We now have the macho Sailor Uranus, who has the most annoying american voice in the world. We have Sailor Neptune, whos easygoing, and pretty cool when she plays the voilin. And near the end we have Sailor Saturn. I could never understand why this scout doesn't have a bigger role in the entire series, she's so cool lookin'! Oh yes, the worst part of this series is that stupid Reeni, (or Chibi-usa,) becomes a scout in this series. She was annoying just being a little girl, now we have to put up with her in the fight scenes too!!! Goddamn it!!
Just like the original series, and R, the japanese music is the best! And the best part about it, is that we can actually here most of it on the dub this time! There still is some redone US music, which is probably some of the worst US, SM music. Sound effects are nothing special. (not much has changed there agian.) And finnaly is voice acting, which was changed a lot, considering Sailor Moon's voice has changed. The voices start to grow on you, but I still prefere the old ones better.
The Entertainment value in all of the in this series, just like the others, comes from the funny characters, (and the situations they get into in each episode,) and the fight scenes at the end of each episode. And still, the best parts are during the middle of the series when the story starts to fall into place, and heat up. Allthough the climax is 3 episodes short of the last episode. The last 3 episodes are kinda boring, and should have been delt with before the final fights. But thats just my opinion.
Story Another repetitive good vs. evil plot that still works pretty well. |

Characters Same great characters, plus some new ones, minus some dumb villens, equals out to be great still. |

Music Again, the best damn J-Pop Music, which we actually get to here some of, with some voice acting to get used too. |

Entertainment Just like the original, and R, it can get repetive, but when the story heats up, its one of the best SM's. |
