Togusa
Newly recruited to Section 9, Togusa is the most human part of Section 9. The one and only thing cybernetic about him is the small patch in his brain, which alows him to comunicate with the rest of the team. He's in his late 20's and is married. One time, when he asked Motoko why she had him transferred from a Police Officer to Section 9 (it's very rare that someone is tranferred this way), she said that he was a family man, mostly human, and an honest cop, which were the traits that the department was lacking in. Togusa is still considered an outsider by the rest of the team because they were all brought into section 9 from the military. But beside all this, Togusa is still a very intelligent and crafty person. He was the only person to realize that Section had brought men invisible from a trans-thermal shield into Section 9 HQ to steal back Project 2051 (The "Puppet Master"), which just happens to be a major violation of internal laws. Togusa is constantly under ridicule from the rest of the team for using his weapon of choice, the Mateba M207 revolver, because it's not an automatic. In my opinion, he's the only one with a bit of sense out of the whole group, not trusting his life to an automatic that can, and most likly will, jam.(For an example of this, check out the end of the movie).
